Lol if you only read the quest info you might never finish the quest. Many htings have changed in this zone. I think Philcox is right bout drop mobs tho.

wow, palang, that was both rude and unhelpful.
now for a more helpful answer...
i've never seen them drop off the tier one reventant / lich types, and that's the kind of mob that marsinger tells you to go after. since the other piece he wants you to collect is the hatebone drake bones, which are tier 2 bone drakes (ashbones are tier 1), i'd assume you'd have to go after the mobs in tier 2 that fit the caster pattern. i'll let you know when one drops for me.
