Planes of Power
The southwest temple is by far the BEST place to get this. There are tons of Mephits there that can be pulled without clearing hardly any trash. There's like 2 trash mobs in the hallways, rest are mephits, and you can avoid the rooms.
As a 71 Monk I just ran through the stuff at zone in and FD'd it off before going through the intersection. I stood up then ran through the intersection hugging the left side and took the left path then FD'd everything off again. Like the other post said, there are two roamers on this path, but it's a pretty long path. I got up and killed one before the other one even got back. Killed the other roamer then started killing A Temple Guardian. There are two sets of two at the beginning of the path and the end of it, and there are more if you go to the end of the path. I only had to kill I think 5, maybe 6 before it dropped off one of the two at the start of the path.

I followed this and I got my Living Fragment of Air tonight. Level 73 monk with a J1 healer and it was no problem, I kill probably 18-20 a temple guardian's and got the drop.
I'm giving up on hope that I ever will see this drop in my lifetime since noone raids PoA anymore. I tried sneaking past the entrance mobs but could only make it halfway then I tried running from that point then turning around using weapon shield and shutting off my computer but came back and found I was dead. The binden concerrentia is a lost cause now, I wish they would fix this.
Since you only need to be 65 to enter zone....bring a buddy to aggro the front area (full of the castellian armors) and then running up to the first crossroads and then down the right path (make sure he aggros the mephits on the left first). Hang right behind him but far enough back to not get aggro and take a left at the crossroads. Once you get a bit down the path, camp out. since your buddy has the mobs on his tail, make sure you got him a swirling smoke in PoK so he can instant gate out and keep his hide intact. Now log back in and you only have to worry about 2 roamers. Remember everything sees invis and summons at 95% so it's going to be toe to toe fighting. None of the mobs can be snared but they don't run at low health either. When fighting the pheonix's your going to get dispelled...no reason to bring anything but your own buffs. lastly...you can get here but I hope your ready to take 2 mobs at a time because nothing can be calmed.
Me and 2 others here to get the drop and took us 59 mephits to get each of us 1.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you thought you heard was not what I meant.
I need to know how to get to these guys from the zone in. Directions are appreciated. Thanks in advance and this zone sucks!
The best way to get these are to be part of a raid and hope they drop. Moving around PoA as a group or less is just not practical.
You can camp these at the zone in though, but it is still a major pain. There are 2 roaming mephits that path to the first area which are about 1 hour repops, but they will not always path to close enough to ZI to grab them single. If you are determined though you can get one of these to drop at ZI. It took me 4 days of 3-4 hours per day.

Fragments of Fire/Air/Water/Earth drop of the Mephits, thought they are rare drop.
They dont always have a nametag with Mephit in it, but the Mephits are the flying, ugly looking imp things.

Posted: Jul 12 2004 at 10:41 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is the last piece I need for my necklace...not that I am gonna wear it..I have a slightly better solro mini drop..But I want that unlimited charge of PoK Gate...Yes you still need the reagents that still run ya about 2k a stack but its better than nearly 2k for a 10 dose gate potion lol...But I figure this one will be the bottle neck for me..I looted the water first on a raid...second was earth from the ledge camp in PoE...3rd was fire..I soloed there killing the mephit slike 5 times....then while my group was forming in Poe I ran to Pofire and killed one mephit and bam...dropped it hehe...But considering the PoAir drop is way into zone and the only time you see someone in there is for a raid...means i am screwed until I decide to join another raid guild. My last one , Requiem Eternum on karana...The Guild leader...Zyekad...who is a raging **** ***-monkey...Gets up one day and decides that he doesnt want to do it anymore...so instead of allowing officers to take over..he thinks the guild cant go on without him so he disbands everyone...classic ********* lol

A Living Fragment of #### is always dropped from the Mephits in their respective zones. Air for Air Etc.
who drops it?
