One of my favorite places to kill is Castle Mistmoore. I've taken my paladin there many, many times. I killed the Advisor, looted his robe and then used it on my wizard for a while. After my wizard was done with it, I used it on my Necro and then sold it. It is a nice low level robe.

If you find one on a NPC vendor it goes for about 43pp. They sell in the bazaar for 25-200pp.

I just bought one of a NPC merchant (female tailor at Inn 1) in East Commons for 43pp. I did not really know what it was worth I just wanted it. Looks like I got a bargain :)

When I offered it back to her by accident she offered just 7pp so I assume someone must have sold it to her at that price, perhaps a high level player who was so rich he did not need the extra 100-900pp he might have got if he sold it to a player.

No the green silken drape is not better then this but if you are a necro then it definiteley blows this out of the water caus ethe effect on it is useful (get GSD, polished bone bracelet, and kobold hide boots) then you are set for DoTing, my wizard wears crystalline ( or atleast he did before i got him shining metallic robe) and my mage does wear this robe cause it looks good when standing next to pets. all in all its a pretty beasty robe

Lookin to upgrade to SMR. I know that it will still leave my stien for the most int item but I'm not comlaining I just think its a little odd

Both the advisor robe and the green silken drape are nice. I have both. Bought the drape for 100pp (why a FBR fetches 150pp i have no idea) and the advisor for 300pp. Obviously, the advisor gives more mana and looks better. However, I do like the GSD because of dex which helps you cast when getting hit (like trying to get out of life-death situation when trying to gate out and how much mana u have makes no difference.)

So I'm in the mage guild buying my level 16 spells when a Magician from the Rings of XEV sends me a tell that he has something for me. Now, I'm wearing a Green Silken Drape (my char is a twink) and he gives me this Robe. I thank him heartily. Earlier in the day, I had given a BI Medallion to a guildie Mage that I had never met, but saw in Oasis of Marr. The gift givers parting words were, "always help a fellow mage". Don't you know that I ran into a mage that had just visited the trainer and got his guild tunic and promptly gave him my now unneeded GSD. Of course I'm lucky, but what goes around comes around.

While I could agree with you that high lvls farming in low level areas isn't very cool, this is Mistmoore. The level range you are looking at means nothing inside this castle. If you are thinking about going in here with a single group to get xp and perhaps a nice drop, I do hope you enjoy CRs like you say. Unless your group is very well rounded, equiped, and very good at doing their jobs, you will die. MM is usually empty too, it's not hard to get the camp you want.

There will be xp groups outside, but inside it's high level groups and raids only for the most part. Post this in Runnyeye or something, where an xp group has at least a chance of survival.

Not flaming, just my 2cp. I've come in mid 40s groups and walked over bodies of 50s trying to camp something solo here to get very deep inside.

Farming by ppl who are at little to no risk in a dungeon is OK if there is no one there trying to get EXP. I mean, if they are farming they are not lvling. So they make their choices. But PLEASE, if a group shows up and wants to get EXP let em. Make a loot deal or let em take the PH'rs. If however you are farming and are at risk, i.e. the dungeon has 10 to 15% blues, then you have the same rights as a group for whom all the mobs are blue-yellow-red. Just be considerate.

I went into the piano room last night to get some werewolf talons for a friend (29th War). I am a 45 Druid, and it was my first time trying to get into the castle by myself (been there with friends in groups before). It was a blast figuring out how to get the Gypsies without having the whole place come down on me. (No I will not post how I did it. Figuring it out was 90% of the fun.) Quick solo hits like those are a blast. And a big reason I enjoy the game. Got the Talons after gating out LOH/M twice. And got a Sac dagger to boot.
The only others in the zone were my friend and a group at the zone/pool. (Friend joined em while I played in the castle. If I am camping something for someone I always make em come with me LOL.)

Play the game. Do what you enjoy doing, and allow others to have fun too. Kind of like RL. : )

Hard to believe I'm Following Up such a poorly written post, but I've heard this feeling expressed elsewhere, and wanted to throw in my 2cp.

a) The Green Silken Drape has the following stats: AC 8, Sta 9, Dex 9, Int 3, SvP 15. Pretty incredible, really.

b) I bought my GSD in Greater Faymart for 150pp. My pal got one for 50pp for being the untwinked lil bugger he is. While these are both bargains, you will never pay more that 300pp for one. CHEAP!

c) Yes, it looks alot like a newbie robe... this is considered "helpful" on red servers.

Is it an uber Int booster? No, dippy! It's a robe for those of us who need to boost their OTHER stats.

The advisor always drops it. (or atleast the 40+ times ive been in MM for stuff) It is not rare. The Advisor is about a 2.5-3 hour spawn. I know that my wizard and his bud (levels 56 and 54 - both of us wizards) Its an easy spawn, infact we solo the whole castle quite frequently with the AE line of spells. Druids and Shamans (51+) can also solo/ group up with 1 other person to own this whole place easily.

that rarity talks about the drop rate off creatures who drop it. not overall. lets say bats now vary rarely drop a gem. after you kill 20 bats, you may get a gem. its the same way on this. the drop rate is low, but if you kill many, the chances of getting one is higher.

Therin lies the point fool! YOu are level 57 and a wrecking ball necro 53. Of course it is easy for casters that don't have to physically fight the mobs.

Now I can go in and work my ass off by myself slowly but surely to the room and kill everything i come across on my way (Ranger 50) or go invis and go to the room and kill him (if he is up)too.

You lucked out having the dude waiting for you when you zoned in... I have spent many many many hours and levels periodiacally camping different rooms and mobs that drop in that zone... and the spawn rates can be aggrivating.(Butler Syncall and Avenging Califf)...

Anyway that having been said...it takes lower peeps a lot of work to get to the advisor.. hence the price quoted...

All posts i have seen on these pages, most of the flaming and sarcasm comes from people who don't want to work for the item in question... or they are High level people who can get this item easily.. or they are high level, have low level alts and don't want to admit that it is tough sometimes even for an Uber to get the items they need for thier twinks...so they bitch and complain about the prices and make comments like the one i am replying to.
