they need to up onehanded weapons, with pop this doesnt even compare to some of the 2h dps u can get, i mean look at some of the stuff u can get like the pali 2hb off vallon zek. that thing has awsome ratio and just owns most peoples 1h combos. now look how ez it is to get compared to this thing, its annoying that now people using 1hs have to get so dam far just to get a weapon that doesnt even put out half as much dps as some of the 2h weapons u can get way way ezer.(i realize this aggrument is null in the situation that this would go to a war for tanking, but that isnt going to happen everytime.)
You can't compare knight 2hand stuff to to war equipable 1hs. Knight's get an advantage with weapon selection, just like Monk/Beasts do. These limited class weapons have better ratio's then most weapons warriors get access too. Now I agree that for the most part 2hand dps is better than dw 1hand. But 2 1hand weapons offers the advantage of usually better stats, more effects, and now with LDoN more aug slots. Also 50% or the useable classes for this weapon cannot use 2handers at all. And does anyone really think Rogues need access to more dps? (in game balance I mean)
here is a very rough way to compare the ratio of 2 1hers to a 2her... let's say you got this thing 29/30 and a blade of carnage in the other hand 15/20... 29dmg/30delay + 15dmg/20delay = x dmg/delay .967 + .750 = x x = 1.717dmg/delay
Now let's compare this to Vanazir Dreamer's Despair which is 60 dmg / 38 delay that's a ratio of 1.58.
You can see now that 2 1hers should in theory work out to more dps than a 2her. What we are ignoring here is damage bonuses, as well as the possiblty of 2 or even 4 or more procs depending on your augs and buffs. This will bring dex into your dps and then it starts getting really hairy. Your best bet is to parse out a nice loooong log of a couple hundred fights with both weapon setups against the same types of creatures. Try to keep your buffs constant etc.
Secondary weapon speed is based on the delay of the weapon, but it will only swing if you also make a dual wield check. At high level dual wield is in the 80% range - so multiply the dmg/delay for secondary by 0.8 for a rough comparison.
Ignoring damage bonus can be very misleading too, as two-handers will usually do better here. Also, damage bonus does not apply to secondary.
The formula I would use would be: 2H: (damage*2 + damage bonus)/delay 2x1H: (pri-damage*2 + damage bonus)/pri-delay + 0.8*sec-damage*2/sec-delay
Of course this ignores procs etc. and is also simplistic by using the modal damage value instead of a distribution. But hey! It's a game and this already too much maths :)
Anyway, for the example quoted above (I'm not certain of level 70 damage bonuses, but assuming 15 for 1H and 44 for 2H with 38 delay):
when calculating DPS, I was under the impression that your secondary weapon's speed was determined by your dual wield rating, not the delay on the weapon. If I'm wrong, let me know. If not, then your above dps calc would be wrong for the two 1hs combo.

you notice how these weapons appearing are getting more and more badass, have you seen that one 2hb that was revealed in PoT by some hacker, its like 52/28 with +275 mana???!!! i think something ig is comming
dude i hope next expansion, if theres one, will raise lvl range to 70, then these weapons will seem kinda brought up to the level
altohugh, it appears EQII will appear before something like this would happen( alos, i dont think anyone could get to 70 in less than 3 months)
On xev when LoY came out people were racing to 65. The first froglok to 65 got there in 3-4 days. I can't imagine 5 more levels taking almost 3 months more.
A picture of the Bo Staff of Transcendence (has a particle effect, yay!) can be found here: http://www.planeteq.com/eqwadb/detail.asp?ItemNumber=11399 It is not hacked, simply on the database that is used by EQEmu, knowing them and how they have items that NEVER drop, are created or quested for (such as the Oakwynd - 175/20 Bow, Ranger only) or the Katana of the Frozen Skies (9/27 Spirit Strike), the Bo Staff may not drop, so don't get your hopes up.
Well base damage is 29. Add 13 for the damage bonus of a lvl 65 melee. I'm assuming that no one under 65 will ever see this anytime soon. Anyhow that comes to 42 and multiply that by 8 which I believe is the max a crippling blow hits for which comes to a disgusting total of 336. The other way I have heard crippling blows explained is it's 8 times the average damage which would be 84 times 8 for 672. To be honest I'm not sure which is correct however either way it should be a serious aggro/attention getter.
Ummm bro...hate to tell ya this but damage bonus is just added damage to the final damage of the wep, which would mean that the lowest you could hit for with a damage bonus of 13 would be 13...not that it gives the weapon 13 more damage to be calculated...that would WAY overpower weapons.
I mean, look at the 40 and 50 delay 2handers...they have 30-50 damage bonus and if it worked the way your talking about then the swords would nearly be 100/40's...I don't mean to sound like I'm flaming, but i know VI wouldn't do that, they like their nerf sticks too much!

Basically it allows you to hit harder with the same weapon as you gain levels, also strength and skil in the weapon will increase actual damage done.
I suspect you were duel weilding at the time, the offhand doesn't recieve the damage bonus listed, and can hit for 1-5 as your seeing. With a 2-hand weapon you won't see a hit that does less then 1+damage bonus as described above if you hit them at all. If your unsure if this is true, you can test it easily with you monk by putting a 1hb weapon in your primary and use your fist in the offhand and compare your punches to your crushes. You should find that you never crush for less then 5, but sometimes punch for less, hope that clears that up. :)

I think the best class for this would be warrior, but thats not how they are gonna decide who is gonna get it. This weapon would be great for a rogue or bard, though. Would love to have in my rogues off hand.
I know that most tanks like weapons that have an agro adding proc. Runing someone is huge agro. Healing someone gets agro too. I wonder if this thing healing and runing would get you agro or not ?

First off you moron, last time i checked l33test wasnt in the dictionary so dont be giving noobs crap for the way they talk you geek. Second EQ is a ever changing game and what was elite 2 years ago is noob gear now. And as more people play and new stuff comes out its reasonable someone can get gear like this who isnt in the endgame. I dont have a problem with people who play in the endgame just the ones who think there better then everyone else who dosn't have that much time to devote to playing a game.
And yes that is all this is a GAME, So remember that.
First off to you, the man was making up an example of 'stupid talk' when he said l33test (see, they're called quotation marks) so don't flame him until you bazaar a brain for yourself. You'd think someone calling himself 'the pimp and player of all EQ' might cover their **** a bit better...
Secondly, it's not at all reasonable to think this will ever be anywhere close to newbie gear because it is NODROP...past uber items which are now newbie gear are all tradable, that's how newbies get them. And however many more people join EQ and whatever else they bring out the Rathe encounter is still going to be a high end guild job, and I don't see many untwinked newbies wandering around with Naggy or Vox gear on my server just because they have been outclassed since the expansions - any on yours?
I don't have any problem with people who flame others for being a moron, just the ones who turn out to be pretty thick themselves =)
man im not gonna say how great this is cause for someone that is not in the end game thats a givin. im just wondering how high a max crippling blow by a warrior can go with this .
