Through the Door Trick?

I've been trying to get this chest piece for my warrior and have always used the "remove illusion to get through doors" trick and I've recently found that my gnome-box, can't do this trick in Chardok. I could get into the Prince room and the locked door that leads down to the Overlord with my OGRE warrior, but my GNOME couldnt. I tried Spectre/skleteon/frost goblin, illusions and no luck.

Also, tried the camp out against the door, log back in method and no luck there either.

I've found that the illusion trick works best when going from a smaller illusion to a bigger race, hence it working no problem for ogre. Not sure what you can do about it for gnome. Keep trying the frost goblin illusion, I guess, since it is small like a gnome. It may work eventually.

My brother plays a gnome shadow knight and he has to use his shadow step aa to get through doors. When I play my halfling druid I use a mount, though I don't guess you can use mounts in Chardok.

Sorry this wasn't more helpful.

Good luck!

Iksar and Ogres are the best races in the game, superior to Drakkin. The only talent Drakkin have is a low DPS, bugged AE cone which can be used once every 5 minutes - and when I say low DPS, I mean seriously low. It will do maybe 3-5% dmg on a lvl 75 TSS trash mob.

Iksar have an AC bonus which is vastly superior to that stupid breath weapon, and Ogres cannot be stunned from the front. Both of those innates put the drakkin BW to shame.

I agree that Iksar should be able to wear this BP; but Drakkin are in no way a better race than Iksar
out of the new races why still no iskar

Not to speak to ill of SOE but how is it after all these expansions and races added to norrath that soe STILL prohibits iskars from using this item im mean seriously even freaking drakkins could use it soe needs to add iskar to the list its kindof BS there left out when even a special race like drakkin which has its own special talents and was essentially drakkin specific armor geared would have abilities to wear such old expansion equipment but not iskars?
out of the new races why still no iskar
# Sep 17 2007 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent
it will never be iksar usable, due to the rules that came out. all new armor will most likely have iksar, but due to this item is from kunark content, they arent gonna rechange kunark content.

when Kunark was released, Iksar could not wear any plate armor from the exspansion. The reasoning was because iksars have an innate AC bonus. However once the following exspansion came out they began to itemize iksar into the plate armor sets.

It's not a change.
All items currently have their cast time displaying incorrectly.
They still cast at their normal cast time.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 19 2005 at 8:48 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is why I get frustrated with this site. Who the hell wants to sit and read down 40 posts that tell you pretty much nothing. I dont care how it looks, I dont care how much it costs. I like to know the stats and where the guy is located. Why cant you folks put in the map locations as I do when I find a spawn that isnt on the ingame map? Put useful information on here. I understand the occasional rage about something, I do that myself but how it looks is not necessary info. Is this EQ or GQ? Also cant you administrators put the spawn location somewhere in your info as well? Would help.

I agree that sometimes it's nice to go to the page and just see the information you are looking for, but it's also nice to find extra information that you aren't. I love going alla-surfing from page to page following the links and info that I didn't expect to find.

But as a rule of thumb you go to the item page to hear it's price, uses, how it looks etc, and you go to the page about the mob to find it's loc, hp, hits etc.

The item can't be that rare, one sells for 60k in bazaar and I bought two last night for 40k each on Luclin...my family has one lvl 35 warrior and two SK's below 30. As new players to EQ (week before Holloween) who will probably never see a RAID with a Guild to get this BP, it was money well spent IMO. Thanks for the info on when the spell effect will function. I expect this piece of armor will be worn for quite a long time by our characters...
My warrior was blessed on Holloween with a No-Drop Steel Rod of the Knight which as made a huge difference, now add this BP, and I might live longer...
One reason for the sudden popularity might be players giving up their gear to leave EQ, I have been the lucky choosen one for several players passing on their Uber gear before departing the game. Others are selling off stuff passed to them, for the cash.

I was poor for a very long time in EQ......

The poster's name is "Lady SilentRedd". Hate to sound sexist, but, when it comes to player interactions in EQ, females get a sickening number of handouts. My girlfriend and I play together all of the time. When we go to donate for buffs, we pay the same amount, but they generally don't accept her plat, while they've always taken mine, without fail. People keep offering her items, guilds, power levels, "advice", etc. All I get are beggars.. which is pretty sad, since I'm new to the server.

Got this last night on the first kill of the King for a Cleric epic. Made one of our guild warriors very happy, even if the AC isn't high enough for tanking it'll be useful for travelling to and from camp spots.

Went down to the nobles today as our guild's 2nd trip there. First one we had pets aggro and setoff traps and ended up with 33 coffins usesd but we learned.

So this time We go down with 26 of us and make it no problem. Took Prince, then moved to King. Killed him twice and each time he dropped this BP.

Currently using the Indicolite from Hate and this is very similar in basic stats. Both are AC35 STR15 DEX15 but this one has 5INT and 25HP whereas the Indicolite has 15STA. The biggest difference is the Effect. Too Cool!

got this little gem last night on my 61 halfling warrior. This is going to save me the 120 plat a day i was spending on invis potions =). The king was a wuss, but you better burn down the queen fast as you can.
Sweet BP, pretty rare
# Jun 05 2002 at 2:48 PM Rating: Excellent
I got this after 4 weekends spent killing (or trying kill) the queen for the warrior epic. Ill tell yea thats one mean *****. We had 6 full groups all over 52nd with 50% of the crew at 60th level. And with all that firepower we only got her 4 times. The king was a cream puff compaired to the queen.
We killed the King around 12 times total over 6 or 7 raids(one raid we got him 4 times). Only one BP droped. Seems pretty rare drop based on this small sample set of data. Good luck finding one.

My guild did Queen 2 times that I know of in one day, the King dropped 2 BPs both times we killed him, Queen only gave us the Blade 2 times and Shard of Night once (I think 1 time wasn't there for the 2nd kill). Only thing that got some of my guild was the AoE, they were the lvl 50 and some odd ppl who fell to it. Everyone else was in there at least mid 50s to early 60s.
RE: Sweet BP, pretty rare
# Sep 22 2002 at 9:40 PM Rating: Good
Queen falls pretty easy. Her AoE appears to be directional. Just have to avoid it and pile on the damage.

First time our guild killed everyone was saying "Is that all there is?". Killed her twice, 1 death total.

Proc at level 50
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 04 2002 at 7:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It doesnt proc its triggered...just right click it at any level
RE: Effect Level
# Jun 09 2002 at 5:11 PM Rating: Decent
proc is the term used for "when" it can be triggered left clicking at level 1-49 will result in you wasting your time clicking it. no matter how many times you click it you wont get the effect. now i bet you wish clicking gave exp then youd click and click until youre fifty then itd happen and youd turn invis. ah well dont sprain your hand clicking it clicky clicky palladius click gather click
RE: Effect Level
# Jun 29 2002 at 12:34 PM Rating: Decent
I may be mistaken but, I do believe that a 'triggered' effect is one that a player enables by right-clicking on an item (such as 'Reviviscence' from the cleric epic weapon) whereas a 'proc' is a random occurence depending on one's dexterity (such as 'Siphon' from the Blood Point)...

So let me get this straight...

Do you have to click this to get the effect to work or will you just randomly turn invisible for fractions of seconds while you are fighting?

SNOOGINS!

I got one of these during guild raid this past weekend. I would take this over Indi bp any day, because of the invis, any spells to help a warrior. As far as the Queen goes, best way to kill her is need 60 warrior to engage her while chanters rune and chain heal warrior. Her AE spell only effects those in her eyesight, so getting behind her is the key. Place the 60 warrior up front, all other melees classes behind her and NO ONE TAUNT besides 60 warrior. Also helps to have fire pets to take the AE blast also. All other classes must stay in the pit in the King room against wall. The key is to get her back to the pit that way all non-melee classes are safe. It is tough, but very possible.....remember 60 warrior, fire pets and you have to believe!

Traded a Venomic Axe, Fungi Tunic and the Edge of the Taskmaster for this today. With the insanely slow or no Drop Indo BP in hate and the revampeed dok being a bit tougher this will carry me thru to 58 or higher as I will always keep this BP for the effect in my sack. Effect and stats are very nice combo. GL all

Ok, doing the queen with like 4 tanks is way gay to post here, have you been hunting sarnaks in LoIO, better put your post in another section man, because everyone knows that her AoE will fart you to death before you even blink.

gees man ppl come here to get useful information and when people post crap like that just makes the forum plain gay.

the right way to get her is by killing her in like 30-40 seconds or the raid is roasted, please stop putting NooB info on these boards unless you really know what the hell you are talking about, you migh even make some people think they could do a queen raid with 4 tanks, maybe you like to see peoples doing CR in Chardok, really fun when you get in deep for sure /bleh.

I don't see why not.. 4 warriors? Hell.. there's potions for calling mage pets, 300hp insta heals that work as fast as you can click, damage shields.. I'm sure given time and massive amounts of cash, 4 warriors could pull it off. Hell, just in heals that's like 12 million hp's... You would, erm.. of course be able to buy 4 incarnadine bp's about 6 times over for the cost though ;)
RE: man gotta love noobs
# Nov 20 2001 at 8:15 AM Rating: Good
Well you added a lot of useful information. Anyway, I think if you were to have thought a little deeper into what he was writing, im sure you'd realize that he didnt mean, a group of 4 tanks went in to kill the queen. Stop and think before you flame someone. Not everyone rereads there posts and uses spell checkers and grammer checkers so as to make them selves look smarter and therefor the better person. Ive heard stories of like 2 groups killing the queen so there is more than one way of doing it. If your way works fine do it that way, if someone else's way works, well hell at least she's dead. The hatred that spews from people over the smallest things is crazy /shiver

When my guild did this we did it real quick, had only 3 warriors and neither of us for down to 75% health during the fight. We didn't fight it in the room, we pulled her and the King out into the hallway and fought her there. Only had the ppl in their low 50s die to the AoE and thats about it.

# Aug 30 2001 at 12:43 AM Rating: Decent
As an SK, all I can say is, "too bad it has GS effect". MY guild or any intelligent raiding guild that would beat down the Overking is going to most likely award this to a Warrior because it will simply benefit the guild more on raids to have a warrior who can invis. Some silly melee who already has an Invis spell will not get this BP unless the guild is pretty foolish. Even a warrior who had a better BP would take it for the invis, stuff it in a wt reduction bag and carry it everywhere. I'm sure there are a few SK's running around with this, but they were really lucky if all they had to do was win a roll and walk off with it.

sorry bout my last, blank, post hehe...
There are many ways to invis a warrior. Aside from the fact that no warrior at this level should ever be alone and thus without an inviser, there are invis potions (not too expensive either if i remember correct, not dirt cheap but not unreasonable), and other, easier to get items whos value would not be so wasted in having it for the porposes of the effect. Both SKs and warriors would benefit from this greatly. Even though SKs can invis themselves, we have better things to do with our spell slots and so having it as an item effect means we can mem more usful things (thats the only thing that makes BE good, we can do all our stuff instead of just 7 things [gotta keep 1 slot for emergency FD in most situations hehe])

Everyone in my guild already had better but one warrior, but he wasn't there to get dibs on it, so we used our raid point system for it and I ended up winning it. The high SK in my guild passed up on it for the same reason that was posted above, he had the spell and the circlet already even though he only had a Barbed Ringmail for his BP. Very classy of him, I would have passed it up to him if he wanted, I can always buy invis potions to make up for it.

Chardok ain't that hard really, as long as you don't ***** the pulls up. We took down the queen with only 4 55+ tanks (Was scary), but if you have someone who is a bad puller you are all doomed =P. This i a nice BP though, and now since they nerfed teh CoS this BP is even better! I am hoping to throw one on my SK soon.

For you ShadowKights that have a better breastplate, but like the effect on this one, take some friends to Droga and get a Circlet of Shadows. Same effect, only it has no cast time (can use even while running, or even recast in front of a mob and he won't even see you casting). In one evening you can get 2 or 3 of them.

Note: The circlet doesn't have to be worn to use the effect.
RE: An Alternative...
# Aug 15 2001 at 12:26 AM Rating: Decent
If you get the circlet, buy a pre-nerf, Patch not too long ago gave the circlets a casting time, all circlets currently in circulation were not affected
RE: An Alternative...
# Jun 11 2001 at 3:47 PM Rating: Decent
I currently have the Circlet(EXCELLENT ITEM). I must agree, unless you have a better BP this is the one for SK's. Being a Dark Elf as I am, I really like the Str bonus on this. I will be looking forward to Chardok. Maybe I can get me another Earring of Station here too :)
RE: An Alternative...
# May 24 2001 at 5:54 AM Rating: Default
Yes, Circlet of Shadows is awesome. 0 cast time, and can be put in inventory slot and just right clicked/hotbuttoned. Great for exploring places that don't see invis, such as... droga, where the cos drops. IMO, this bp would go best for a warrior, since they are a class that are not supposed to have invisibility, this would be a great asset for the effect, but an awesome bp for either class.
Why I like this BP
# May 03 2001 at 3:20 PM Rating: Decent
This is a fantastic BP! On a Barb warrior it is blood red in color.

I lose a few HP (one or two hit's worth) when I use this in place of Indicolite (due to the loss of the +15sta).

The benefit of invis is...well...transparent! (could not help myself, sorry) I can now run through Kael (WL to EW), to the safe hall in Chardok (assuming all the dogs are dead or wandered off), getting to Phinny, <insert ANYwhere that you use invis> without the help of an Inviser. Also, while banking breaks the invis, using Bind Wound does not (also very handy). I keep finding situations where invis is either helpful, or down right lifesaving.

Only two reasons I can think of that a warrior would opt for Indicolite over Incarnadine:

1) Their stamina is less than 100 without the Indicolite BP.

2) They feel that Indicolite looks better
RE: Why I like this BP
# Dec 17 2002 at 9:31 PM Rating: Decent
This is my opinion on looks, this is not a flame, if your looking for armor for LOOKS instead of stats and such then become a fashion model. I am 57 and I am a rainbow warrior, I wear Silver, Dark Blue, Green, and what my guildies call a Pink helm (its really red they just don't know it). I don't really care about looks, this is just a personal opinion of mine. As long as I get the stats I need I will wear Pink and Neon Green for crying out loud.
Information
# Apr 27 2001 at 10:30 AM Rating: Excellent
The effect has a casting time of roughly 8 seconds (I could be off), is a right click effect, and produces an invis effect. On a barbarian warrior, the BP is a deep red, and looks pretty cool in contrast to the browns of Indicolite, and the blacks of cobalt boots and bracers. Chardok is an insanely tough zone. Expect a full (30) crew of people 55 and over... and even then you might have it rough.

Bards could use AC and Dex like that mainly because dex is the mainstay of our songs and we need good ac cause if we play our songs and get hit we can go down quickly because are songs can make stuff go super aggro on us
