n00b question here, how will I know where GM events are being held? Will the whole srvr be informed, or will it be a lil secretive thing? :) thnx for answering my st00pid n00b question :)

whos the newbie? the people who replied to your post before me. Everyone is informed by a system-wide message.
Perhaps their answers appear newbish to you, because you failed to notice that they were posted back in 2001 and 2002, before any of the systemwide messages for GM events. Also, even today, some GM events DO NOT have the systemwide messages. I was in a GM run simon says event in GFAY (which was a horrible event btw), and the only messages about it were in zone chat, not serverwide.

Well.. not a bad question, but yea, if stuff like this goes on, your not likely to miss it if you have any porter friend, (clears throat, looks around innocently), and even then, im sure in another 5 min, the rest of the server will know anyways seeing how info flows like river in this game. :)
