killed this guy many times and so far he's dropped the arms twice, leggings once, the neck item is definitely the most common since many rotted, and the grimling warmask once. the most annoying thing was killing the placeholder and the wait because there's a considerable amount for spawn time. i think it was around 15 minutes to twiddle your thumbs. lol. beastlord has no problem killing him. oh yeah. no graphic on those arms either. nice haste but if you're looking for fashion they might not be for you.

where is this guy located in the zone?
the only reference to spymaster gephes is on this page and nowhere else that i can find..i would like to get a set if these arms..thx

This is actually the easiest named in Grimling Forest to get to. Basically put invis on and head into the mines that lead to Acrylia Caverns, run down a short way following the passage until you come to a T-junction with a large rock in the right hand passage. Kill both guards at this T-junction, then turn right and kill both guards at the bottom, then wait on the ramp a while for the wandering Blacksoul(shadowknight) to do his patrol and kill him. Then proceed to single pull and kill everything in the room at the bottom (theres quite a lot in there). Its very simple, the only grimling that should cause you any problems is the Fleshsoother(cleric) who spawns at the back -- just pull everything to the ramp and kill and he shouldnt heal them. The PH for Spymaster Gephes is the "Grimling Elder Guard" that spawns in front of the Fleshsoother at the back. The spymaster himself is a fairly common spawn (I was there for maybe 2 hours and killed him 4 times). He hits reasonably hard(usually 100+) and has decent HP but he wasnt too difficult for a L54 Beastlord, i'm guessing any of the other decent pet classes(mag, nec, shm) could do him pretty easy too. Not much room to run around down there and theres a lot of mobs on a fast respawn so i don't recommend this for the kiting folks.

Good info. Couple corrections on your post. The cleric was always a soulsoother for me, and the PH for Spymaster Gephes was a grimling nightknife. He ended up spawning in front of the pot.
Side note, there is a grimling elder guard that paths from above the ramp to in front of the spymaster/his PH.

Have killed the guy 5 times I guess and seen the Armband once, seen a crappy neck item 4 times.

Magelo says the haste is 21% since we all know this is the first question people are going to ask :p

Lucy (lucy.fnord.net) has this item listed at Effect Level: 20 (which is 21% haste). Since magelo and lucy both agree then we can assume the item definetly gives 21% haste.
