Except you cant use fear type spells in pvp
Since when cant you use fear on PvP? It is only PVP servers that you cant use fear. You can still fear other players in duels on non pvp servers. It was made this way because you had high level necros get into a crowd of newbies and AE fear them. Not to mention just single fear them for fun whenever they ran across them. Hence is one reason I would never be on a PvP server, but I for one WILL settle my disputes in the game by duels rather than squaking to a GM and you can bet if I can get fear to stick I will own you.

Actually the reason they "nerfed" fear on pvp servers is because it was bugged. When a person was feared, they could be attacked by any level person. High level wizards would just 2-box a newbie, fear another newbie, and smoke him in one shot with his wizard. Made for real good money if you knocked off a twink.
Does anyone know if they are rechargable with Mana Batterys or something?

This is nice for a throw away fear item, or something of a parlor trick for the pure melees, but unless it's rechargable, it's not worth a thing.
Wow, how you got such a high ranking on your posts I have no idea. You're saying that a NECK item with +4 to all saves, +25 to pure HP and Mana, as well as AC 5 is not worth a thing? If you say so. I know plenty of people would wear this - 1 charge fluff not withstanding.

Posted: Apr 23 2003 at 9:41 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you don't have better than this by level 47, you need to go to your Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Programs, and Uninstall EQ. It's junk, just as a lot of other LOY stuff was made junk with all the idiotic level restrictions they put on stuff. I understand they are trying to limit the "twinking" but some of these are ridiculous. My favorites are when they slap a level 1 focus effect on an item and then make the the level requirement so high that you will be casting spells that won't use the effect. LOL The guys at Sony were smokin something when they added a lot of the level requirements to the new LOY stuff.
i dont know about you but i have garbage in my neck slot still and its nothing to do with me it is the fact that not everyone ebays or has a farming toon etc to buy stuff in bazaar and not everyone has a guild to help them or get into groups in the right places to get the better gear so being a cocky jerk and telling us to deletes eq is wrong so if you cant say anything nice then stfu please

please could you point me in the direction of a neck item that is as good hp as this and as easy to get please, i have a shrouded medallion which is good ac and MR but no hps, i dont wanna uninstall EQ )
lets try WW on any day there are people raiding dragons (since several are soloable by shammies) there is a 5 ac 4 to all stats and resists 10 hp/mana. Sad to say i picked one up at 53 and have worn it to this day.... sigh
Héh. I've got one of the 6 to all stats ones on my SK still from when a guild necro was soloing the bloody things..
Its not worth nothing, but it sure wouldnt be worth much. I wouldnt be caught dead paying more then 200pp for this, if its resists you want on nexk, just get a cheap serpent insignia collar, I see them for like 30pp all the time.

Posted: Apr 23 2003 at 12:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the only items i have seent hat truley make use of the lvl restriction for good cheap armor upgrades are like bed leg clubs, ppl who are high enuff to wear wow, makes lammys look lammy =) along with the golden charm of hopefulness or something =) great necro item its like ac5 5int 25hp 40mana and a save.
At least its a Recommended Level and not a Required Level.
