I bought this off a vendor in Thurgadin the other day. Have no clue who sold it, or why??? Who knows, maybe someone leaving game just sold it for kicks or something..the reason I went to vendor was because someone shouted that a Heirophant cloak was on sale at the vendor for 2.7k...I ran over with the plat and bought the cloak first, I was totally amazed...then I figured what the hell, might as well check what else is here..apparently the person before me missed this, cause I bought it for 20pp..course, as I have gotten better items as I level, i've not sold them, but given them to lower levels the whole time...guess Karma paid me back.
It could just as well been from a hacked account.
Most people leaving the game either keep their stuff, or give it to people in game they like.
You never know i could be from someone quiting, but 'it is not logical' :)

Nothing not logical about it really. My wife and I recently quit the game for DAoC. She handed a starting cleric an emerald dragonscale tunic just out of the blue. Actually, it was the most fun i've had in that game for my last 2 months of playing, giving away some high end items to new players.
I have run into the same fact.
I had created a Troll warrior, just for the sake of learning the language (no one wants to trade languages on Torv) for my DE mage.
Anyway, I was in Feerrott, still level 1, when a human (SK?) sent me a tell saying he had a present for me. The present consisted of the following:
Evil Eye Bag
Shralok Bag
Herbalist Bag
Sentient Vambracers/BP/Gauntlets/Greaves
Hero Bracer
Crusty Bracer
Mace of Shadowed Souls
Lasniks Staff
Icetooth Claws
Belt of Flesh Hooks
Strawspun Belt
Worn Great Staff
Cloak of the Icebear
2 4int/str necklaces
4int/20 mana necklace (I think)
and 699pp
hmm...thats all I can I can remember.. I remember all slots in each bag were full, then he traded one more time for 5 items...
Then he said if I cant use any of it to sell it, then went LD.
I didnt know who he was (never seen him again either) or why he did it.
I called my RL Friend, told him, and we twinked over to our alts what we could, I sold all the SK stuff, and banked the rest for the time being.
That was a very fortunate day for me, but if that was a hacked account, a very bad day for them = (

You are a jerk, he gave it to you assuming you were a newbie and you just took it all and decieved him. You should have either told him you werent new to the game or gave it all to a newbie that you didnt know yourself. For christ sakes, you could have gotten all that yourself.

Yup...I've seen other things on vendors before going really cheap as well..maybe some higher levels leaving the game and feel like tossing something really nice on a vendor so someone else can get excited about finding it there..Not totally sure, but I think vendors don't look at any items effect or the fact they are magical when setting their selling price. I think it's all based on stats, and since the stats on this suck, it was real cheap.
