Think a 64 monk WITH SoD, not to great gear, but 5k hp unbuffed, 275 str,agi,stam,and dex unbuffed could take this? And if i can, tank or cleric mercenary?
If you're talking about killing the spore king, you probably could with a mercenary. The only thing is you'd need to kill every myconid around the area, as they can heal through walls iirc.
Or would i need my 76 mage with no sod to do it?
Personally I think your 64 monk with SOD access should already have maxed out your hp regen by now with all the defiant gear floating around. Forget about this tunic, it's a twink item for power leveling, not really for use in the SOF, or SOD era. The regen was great when it came out, now considering your hp regen is easily capped with all the new drops forget the idea of camping it or trying to get one or even buy one at your level. Waste of time and money. If you were level 1, yes definately, great tunic.
The thing is, you'll be level 65 soon enough... probably already are to think about it, and at that point I like to consider this level a HUGE ding. There is an enormous amount of tradable drops that becomes available to you at level 65. New armor, weapons, charms, jewelry, AA's, etc... Your dps as a monk is where it is at. If you ever group you wont be the tank thus you won't be hit. Your job is dps. Ding to 65 first - if you still feel you want to have that tunic for any reason - go for it.
It's like buying yourself a sweet present for yourself the day before Christmas, don't do it.

Well the thing is, im attempting to get 1 or 2 of these to sell. i am flat broke. my monk/shaman/druid all need new gear... So far ive gotten two robes camping it in a row. Today i went into OS and my luck is good on the spawns. not drops K K R

First time I camped him, got the fungi two times after 2 kills, tried camping him agian (Twice) for about 5 hours, got nothing, Think its just luck of the draw...:)

I camped him again. Out of 11 spawns, 3 were kings. The first 2 kings dropped the robe. The 3rd king dropped the fungi tunic. Still haven't seen a staff drop yet.

I have camped this guy alot and never seen the tunic drop.Once camped him 12 hours a day for 3 days straight and nothing but robes and 1 fungi staff.Its just luck i guess.I did get 2 cobalt bracers though.Sold each for 50k.

Can Drakkin use this item?
Hey guys i have a lvl 70 monk and i was wondering if i could solo this mob.My monk has a fist of fiveblades which is 18/19 with 110 hit points and a flamelicked claw which is 17/19 with 135 hitpoints and he has around 6k unbuffed.Would i be able to solo this?i have 10 healing potions from 600-700 a tic over time and a complete heal potion.Please hit me back with some information as soon as you can.. thanks :)

I dunno if this is true or not but i took the time to look closely to the fight with the king and heres what i saw! Every time the Robe droped from him. His self heal message was "a myconid spore king feels much better" BUT! AFTER 7 ROBES AND THE SAME HEAL MESSAGE! a king pops and this time his heal message was " a myconid spore king's wounds close" and HE DROPED THE TUNIC! i dunno if this is just a coincidence or not but it seems that when his wounds close hes got the tunic! TEST MY THEORY

Coincidence. After about 15kings with the feels much better heals, one finnaly popped with the wounds close heal for me. And... stilled dropped the damn robe.

So far today I have had 14 spawns. 4 of those being the King. 3 robes (/destroy) and 1 Fungus covered great staff. I'm not leaving til I get my Tunic! Boxing a 70 beastlord with 10k self buffed with P10. Along with him I'm boxing my Druid. Only been using snares because this guy is a newb!
The PH for the king is only a Reaver. From all the time I've been camping him, it's been a Reaver everytime...Finally got one after 7.5 hours of camping ~.~

There also is another type that drops from the Caller quests in FG....heard its even soloable if you know just what to do but havent personally tried it yet.

Kitties get another version called the Fungus Patch Vest. It has the same stats but is required level 51. It's also rarer since the camp is a far more painful and annoying ring event.
The story I heard was this was done deiberately to prevent rapid powerlevelling when Luclin came out.
Since the new frogs were put on the fungi why can't they put kitty on it too?

camped this yesterday (oct 23) for about 2 hours.. got the king to spawn, dropped green robe thing.. brought my friend here today, we were here for about 3-4 hours and went through about 6-7 cycles.. he popped and the fungi dropped.. /happy

this item is great for a shaman. Although once you get to the higher levels it doesnt seem as good as before. Once you get Replinishment or Cani 5 fungi has little to no use and should be sold or given to alt cauz u can cast one quiesence on ur self and u go back to full hp

Yes you can. But watch out for the darned Myconid Priests. its good to have a healer or amezzer or both =)
It should, as the tunic is worn regen, while the staff is cast regen (along with the snare effect on it), sort of like how haste works. Tunic + Staff = super sweet hehe.

iam 65 necro at 7th hammer and i got tunic today =) you dont have to Run and FD ! that is insane ..... all you have to do is make pet at dot mob and fear or kite ! if u get add do necro mez or fear+root em. Once you get it king camp spot fd Split and Kill Always Prist !!

Can i four boxx this camp with my four 65s i have a 65 clr 65 druid 65 warr and 65 chanter im told on my server it would be hard, but i was told that about the slime shoes i was four boxxing that at 60 on my war and 61 on my chanter and my clr and druid were 65 .
IF any one can tell me the best way to fight there would be great.
P.S was doing necro at 53 on my warr nad 57 on my chanter and my druid and clr were 65.
if any one has a good wlk thu for a four boxer would be great.

at 46 this isnt that great anymore. you probally cant just solo and make a ton of money ne more. you probally can go and sell it and with the cash buy enough good gear to be able to solo in sol b. you can make 1k an hour there.

My lord this thing provides the most awesome regeneration I have seen. I passed this bad boy down to my new Troll warrior along with a Belt of the Great Turtle and a Deepwater Pearl Ring. Factor all of that in, plus the natural Troll Regen, I am getting 22 HP a tick in Regen.
I then headed on out to try to get myself a couple of levels soloing ( due to the bad XP modifier for Trolls), and I broke level 20 in about 16 hours. I plan to solo all the way to level 30 or 35, and I will keep this tunic on even longer.

This tunic is useable by every class except pure casters and....beastlords? I wonder if sony forgot to add them on to the classes, makes no sense why they can't.

Yep.. This is officially the most annoyingly expensive twink item ive ever bought. Got one on my level 3 Pally. 100k - Sadly, I still cant solo veksar. Maybe by level 5...... (just kidding) :) Still- 100k was pretty steep. i used to buy fungis for 35-45k a couple years ago.
If purple apes count nine fingers per yellow nine tailed jokes the question would find no purpose.
most expensive twink item are like Sceptre of destruction, boc, white dragonscale helm is almost more expensive on bb
The Bazaar is the reason prices have gone up and down like they have. THEN you had to FIND someone who wanted to pay 30K for the thing. NOW people go there LOOKING for it, so the person looking is more at the mercy of the seller, rather than the other way around.

Paid 34k for this early last summer (on Fennin), but prices are 50 to 60k there now. Stinkin' plat dupers and exploiters made some buyable items out of reach for the honest people... Whole nother can o'worms tho :(

I've been up 30+ hours camping fungi tunic. I estimate my camp data as this:
King has spawned about 14 times.
13 robes, 1 tunic. Burn in hell fungus robe!!!

I agree with what alot of has been said here about outgrowing this. My pally had it on until his early 50's, but with the new pally healing spells I dont wear this on him anymore. What alot of people are forgetting though is that shammys get mana thru regen. My 54 shammy will wear this forever. With chloro and fungi sitting on a lizard i have almost unlimited mana. I just wish I didnt have to keep hitting that hotkey:(

Mumm...I just saw that it said now that it increase the movement speed. Is it new? I don't see any difference when i remove it (i have 1 aa in speed). So it must be 10% of more speed. Any idea here?
It doesn't INCREASE or DECREASE movement speed.
The clickable fungal regrowth on the Fungi staff has a snare type effect (slows movement speed).

When you inspect the item it DOES say that it increases rate of movement, but I am sure this is a programming glitch.
Is there a spell "regrowth" that when cast has a movement increase affect?
If so, that would explain why the tunic description reads that way. It is describing the 'spell' regrowth.

not sure about Xeg, but i dont think any one class can solo king and guard for the extended camp necessary to get this.

A guild mate gave me this upon his retirement from the game. It is a perfect addition to a solo Monks arsenal. I am able to keep fighting almost constantly without much downtime to heal. Getting a full yellow bub an hour is nice indeed. Even though the AGI and DEX hits stink, it doesn't effect me too much since my AGI and DEX were pretty high thanks to other equipment. I used to put this on just to heal faster, now I leave it on all the time.

The Aten neck quest item (FT8, regen 8, attack 20, 125 hp, 125 mana, yada yada) also has no augment slot. Fungi is not alone, but it appearst that Sony is keeping augments off the uber-uber items.
Yes, they took the Aug slots off Primal and Ancient Prismatic weapons too.
Unfortunately this item does not have augment slots. I have a fungi and sure wish it was augmentable.. it would allow undoing of the negative stats that this item forcesd upon its owners. Still, would you really want to leave home without it ? It is the only wearable item i've seen in the game that cannot be augmented. Thank you again Sony <hear the sarcasm ?> ... although i understand why, i disagree with their choice to virtually paint a mercedes with tar.

Chest only, also a type 3 aug. You couldn't put that aug on anything but LDoN gear
on this page it shows up with the new LDoN augmentation slots... and although i have LDoN, mine does not... it's the only item i have with out them... am i correct in assuming this site just added slot 1, type 1, to most items, with out knowing for sure? or can anyone else atleast confirm that this does not have the ability to be augmented?

Hey all. I can't stand downtime in between fights being a warrior and I can't heal =D I know I prob shouldn't solo but I like to anyways. Anyways I was wonderin what kind of regen gear I could pick up at lvl 37 w/ no cash, but lots of high lvl friends =D Preferably the easier to get the better and I don't really care about the stats on it just as long as it has regen that's ok. Was basicly wondering what kind of stuff you suggest I should try to get.

well it depends on the server that your on..if u get a group of high level friends to farm the fungi tunic, and its worth like 10-20k on ur server then im sure if they were your friends they wouldnt mind doing it. otherwise i'd stick to trying to bum a Iksar Regen BP from them. and if they dont have one, then im sure the guild bank (assuming they're in a guild) should have one. track is a fun kill and u can always get lucky and score a tolans bp =D and if that doesnt work then getting a shammy or druid friend to follow u around and give u regen or score a extended regeneration from someone and log in and out of their account is do-able
