Ridiculous Price

These ribbons have the most ridiculously high price. I'm trying to bring up my tailoring. It seems to be the hardest to bring up. If you're not brewing for it, you're smithing. If you're not smithing, you're foraging...I can't forage btw so I have to kill poor defensiveless low lvled creatures that aren't bothering...ok that's actually the fun part. But can we come down off the price or make it so we can make them ourselves. I can just imagine if I had to buy them in the bazaar. But if we could make them...I could make them myself. Why is tailoring soooo hard. I have less probs doing alchemy and thats one of the most expensive tradeskills in Norrath...ok I just complained about like 4 things in there and I really only wanted to vent about the price of ribbons...lol O and P.S. If they r ND then that means I cant sell them to anybody. Why am I making something I can't atleast get something out of it. What kinda learning xp is that? What? What am I learning? That u get out of life what u put into life? Well that sucks because I put alot of plat into tailoring and I've yet to benefit from it. In the lower lvls I was practically giving my product away to noobs...Now Im like pffft get ur own. Now that's not nice EQ...that's not nice at all...lol

Unless they changed it the last few patches, the ribbons are alot like jewelcrafting. The dyed ribbon will sell back for a near cost of the actual ribbon. So as long as you keep from failing much and have access to the foraged items, this can be a very inexpensive tailoring route. But the big advantage is the time not needed to farm, almost every tailoring combine involves endless farming.
No Drop
# Mar 12 2004 at 9:24 AM Rating: Decent
Purpose for this item being No Drop is because the item was introduced in the Ykesha expansion. By making it No Drop it prevents people who did not purchase the expansion from benefiting from the new recipes that origionated from it.

Vendor Kwyllon Geerlok in Gunthak lighthouse sells the Gold Ribbon and not cheap either: 38pp, 8 gold, 6 silver, 3 copper (suggest you get that CHA up high for this purchase).

Who drops it?

Who drops this thing? Looks like a better way to try to raise tailoring then farming for Acrylia and Superb Rockhopper hides.

Kwyllon Geerlok (Gulf of Gunthak) - around 32pp each.

Only problem for skill-ups is Folded Bags are LORE and vendors will only buy back for around 3pp. I also thought about using as cheaper next step from WU's (trivial 158) to get to 162, but have a hard time even selling for cost in auction or bazaar.

I have a hard time selling almost any trade item under 200 skill for cost let alone a profit - if wasn't for the Coldain Shawl fails I would give up on tailoring all together!
