Nah, take a look at the actual table, someone submitted 200p as a price, why some people do this is beyond me, perhaps stupid sumbissions like that should be removed. Just a thought.

People that sell a particular item probably do that to spike the "average" price so they can sell higher to people who look here for the "average" price but don't look at the table to get a sense of the mean price... In the words of Hank Hill: "Dirty pool, Mister.. Dirty pool." ^^

Vendor in Gunthak

Cadale Brohat (151, -241; in the lighthouse)sells the following items. prism shard, glaze lacquer, quality firing sheet, unfired dye vial, multicolor armor tinting
Is it returned
# May 29 2003 at 10:22 AM Rating: Decent
Do you need more than one prism shard to make dyes. I.e. if you fail does the shard disappear or is it always returned?

No, it's not returned, you need one shard for each dye attempt.
Vial of Prismatic Dye
# Apr 01 2003 at 9:46 AM Rating: Decent
This is used to make the Vial of Prismatic Dye. You take this and a Glaze Laquer, place them in a Brew Barrel and combine, Triv is 56 to make the Prismatic Dye.
To make the Dye Vial you need to take an Unfired Dye Vial and a Quality Firing Sheet and place them in a Kiln and Combine, Triv is 54.
Once you have those two items, place them in a Brew Barrel and combine at 68 Triv to make the Vial of Prismatic Dye. Then go to POK or the Bazaar and sell them for 35-50pp. The Vendor of the Components is an Erudite Woman in the Lighthouse at Gulf of Gunthak. Shes in serious need of the "What not to Wear" Fashion Advisors.

Beware that you will still fail making this even when you are at triv, so get you skills higher than triv. Also it cost me 595pp to buy enough of the four items at 129 Cha to get 20 attemps.

Good luck.

Just FYI, I've found that with enough cha to drive the prices down to their absolute minimums, it costs roughly 30pp per vial with no failures. I forget the actual number but it's like 29.9-something. I had a brewing skill of 210 and a pottery skill of 146 and I failed the final combine on one of 7 attempts(brewing failure). Seems these have a low to moderate failure rate, kinda like Heady Kiola's, for anyone who's ever brewed / tailored before.

I believe prices bottom out with a charisma of about 110 or higher if the vendor is indifferent or better to you.

Even if your skill is maxed, there is still a 5% chance of failure, as I keep discovering when I try to make a truckload of SoW potions. (Trivial at 37, according to EQTRADERS, my Alchemy is at 175 +5% from a geerlok, yet I still manage to lose about 1 in 20!)

If im not mistaken a higher wisdom level will reduce the fail rates.once it is trivial go get a kei for the improved wisdom and that should lower the fails

Nah, I asked about that at FanFaire, Wisdom has nothing to do with failure rates, it's an old rumor.

I don't know if these other tradeskills are affected in the same way but I'm a Jeweler. I have noticed a distinct advantage in having a high Dexterity when making jewelry. You may want to test it out. It seems to work for me.

Xepe.
