This no longer drops in the Mines of Nurga.  Have been AA'ing there with my BST for over 2 months and never seen it. There is only 3 Burynai that spawn here now. 2 are slaves and have been freed on mos server and the other is Traitor Efuin, rare spawn.

Got one tonight from a Maddened Burynai (which was a Paladin on the Goblins of Mountain Death faction).

Got one off a Burynai Slave in Nurga... Kinda odd, he had Frontier Ore (woot), pick, this, and an emerald. Slaves must have some good money these days.

I'm wondering, did you try picking their pockets before killing them. I want to try and 'pick' the ore from them rather than fight them... wonder if I can?

#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 26 2001 at 10:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) LOL has anyone seen the new price??? some idiot decided that 500pp just wasn't enough! LOL

The reason that I'd see for a cleric to have this as opposed to banded, has to do with weight. As a DE cleric who pumped all points into WIS, I'll gladly give up one pt of AC for a reduction of 7 in weight. The other stats on the robe are just bonus.
...why?!?

I dont see much point in this thing, +25 mana and +15 hp is hardly a big deal, the +2 dex cant hurt, but doesn't do a cleric much good(if your a good cleric that is) and it has less ac than banded...i just dont get it

Why is 25 mana no big deal for a cleric? According to your info page, your cleric is level 20. At level 20, 25 mana is more than you would get from 6 wisdom (24 mana). It's also more than enough wisdom to cast divine aura, which will save your behind more often than the 2 ac addition you get from banded. True, if you are higher level, you will prefer a +wis item, unless you have reached the wis cap, which is now 255, with the luclin patches. BTW, post 200 wis, the mana calculation is lvl/10, instead of lvl/5, so you may still prefer this, unless the other item has a lot of wisdom.

Personally, I would take 25 mana, 15hp and 2 dex over 2 more ac any time, but then I manage aggro fairly well, so I don't get hit often.

The point of this thing is mostly weight. It weighs less than a pound and since clerics are always wearing a full suit of armor they are always weighed down. It felt good to drop 12 pounds when I got rid of my bronze BP and got this ) Didn't mind losing 3 ac because the 15hp pretty much equals it out
Plus this is one of the only cleric robes I've ever seen, and I think it looks cool. I was saving up 500pp for it but I got lucky and bought mine for 75pp )

Not too uncommon in Nurga. Matter of fact 2 of the 4 members of the party had it in the bank making the remaining 2 very happy. Good addition to a future character.)

This Gi was given to me, when I was a level 4 Cleric, a guy just walked up and just gave it to me. I still use it, and I am now level 18. At the time, I didn't know how good of an item this was, it was the first time I played Eq (a true newbie), I can tell you that this is still the best piece in my inventory, and it looks exceptionally good. This thing is the best item that I've had!!

Thank you,

If this is a Gi, then why would a Cleric wear it? It would make more sense if it was for a Monk
