Ugly
# Apr 03 2004 at 2:56 PM Rating: Decent
These are pretty ugly.. This link: http://pages.prodigy.net/johnwest/Claielf.JPG shows my High Elf cleric.. The rest of her gear is either Sandblasted (the gold), or quested twilight "Holy Rite" (the purple).. The red pants turn this into a fashion disaster!

What's the deal?
# Oct 12 2003 at 1:39 PM Rating: Decent
I sell these on the Lanys server all the time for 750pp. I get people constantly who buy them and try to resell at 3k. Take a good look at the stats. They are very similiar to Brown Chitin Leggings. The only better stat these have is a little better AC, that's all. Not to mention that the BCL give you full stats at level 1, these won't. Anyone who thinks these are some of the best leggings in the game apparently doesn't have a clue in my opinion. But if you're looking for a pair and think these are just "uber", look for the Barbarian trader on Lanys who is always selling them =)

Color Me Crayola !
# Sep 16 2003 at 3:32 AM Rating: Default
My Bard just looted these the other day and as soon as I put them on I got some remarks from my fellow guildies/group mates.

Some remarks I got were -
"Wow, did you get dressed in the dark?"
"You look like a box of Crayola Crayons!"
"You need a Dye Job BADLY!"

Why such harsh remarks? The pants are a bright red color. The color didn't sit well with my blue breastplate and greenish boots...

Off to the Bazaar to buy some prismatic dyes.

The remarks are because of the color. These may seem bright red to you, but on most people's systems they show up as pink hotpants. I think SOE made them this color to encourage people to use the prismatic dyes.

Very nice leg item, but they are kind of frilly and fru fru looking. You could have it worse. Bards have lots of fruity colored armor to begin with, but imagine the DE shadowknight trying to maintain his dignity while looking like a goth ballerina. Fear the unholy hotpants!

These are seriously ugly! Most of my stuff is Sandblasted (dark gold) and these are shocking magenta. Ack

Great AC at an affordable price. Unfortunately since the FV market was saturated with these leggings, prices were bound to drop. Good for the players. Bad for the merchant.
ok for stupid people

Ok, this is a post for people that think just because you don't charge the average price on stuff you're stupid, i'm sorry this is a game, and as such if i feel that the economy is dumb i'll sell what i have for a decent price. So anyone who says that people are getting screwed because they are selling or giving things away, just remember we may just be able to do that.

who cares what gear you have or what deal you got on it (Ryneren)... should be about the leggings not your mains gear.... Elysian

Dude, learn to spell, and punctuate, and uhh, think. Get ur *** of eBay and realize the honest truth-
Ur a n00b.

You forget that other people have plat to give away to n00bs and kidness to go along with it. I'll bet you didn't even thank him for his generous donation. You ***.
Btw, it is called a Slarghling Spear and it is common as hell, you moron.

Stupid for selling it to you so cheap?

It is you who are stupid. Learn to spell.

It is ashame that you have that mentality.
RE: holy hell
# Aug 18 2003 at 3:37 PM Rating: Good
aye,

See the thing is young one, learning to spell and having proper grammer allow people to understand your statments better.

As opposed to your babbling i have learned this................................................................................................NOOB.........

Ok now that i have figured this out, a slarghling spear comes from PoN an are becoming more an more common.(can clear shoreside an get 1-3 to drop) An if 1.5k means oh so much to you why not level an make REAL plat. I have 20k sitting in my bank doing nothing.

Although there is nothing wrong with buying cheap an reselling high, but the fact that you insult this person assuming they are dumb or unintellegent is the problem. The truth being who says they just didn't want to get the hell out of bazaar?

Instead go to school get a education an stop using EQ as a learning place for yer almighty ability to speak an spell....
decent stats and AC
# Apr 12 2003 at 12:56 AM Rating: Default
these are some of the better legs in the game. with Gladiator legs going for 7k on FV and only 17 ac these are a bargain at 5-6k have Wis for Pally's and Cleric's and hp and mana all wrapped up in a nice package and add in the 20 ac and they are very nice.
Very very nice
# Mar 29 2003 at 8:20 AM Rating: Default
If you compare these to some of the other mainstay higher end leggings, these are right up there. They're one ac less than worked dragonleg breeches but the hp and sta make up for it so they're even better in my opinion. I bought these for 1200pp i think when I was looking for new pants for my bard (worked dragon legs go for 4k-5k still). I couldn't believe they were so cheap so I was gonna turn around and sell them for like 3k but decided they're nice enough to keep on my bard.

I have a pair of these, they droped off of the weakest of the captains. I was in a group of a 59 Ranger a 44 Cleric and my 52 Warrior. We were able to easily pull the entire boat with time to kill. We were lucky and the captain was up when we got to the ship. We went there to get a part for one of the cleric spell quests. We got a couple of the spell parts and these nice leggs. I ended up giving them to my frog pally. They are the most horid shade of pink in there natural state. While my Barb warrior was wearing them he looked like a big balaring wearing a pink tutu...hehe. Thank god for dyes. I later picked up the barnicls covered axe when a couple of our friends loged on and we decided to move to the medium ship. Was a good night to be a warrior...hehe, lord knows those are far and few between!

I think you need to adjust your color settings and/or brightness. Cause they're blood red. Blood red to a Woodelf and darkelf on four different computer screens. If my brightness was up and color a little warmer maybe they would look pink. Nevertheless they are blood red.
