I want to add my voice to those recommending the northernmost room in the luggald caves. Go all the way to the north until the tunnel forces you to turn right, and follow it to the big double room. Previously, my group had spent three nights (about 8-10 hours total) clearing the luggalds earlier in the caves, especially in the room that's down a passage to the right after you go north past the bridge. We got several of the blood and saliva, but never any bile. We went to the double room in the north, and had two biles drop in less than half an hour (along with some more blood and saliva).

HUH?

Why is this better than FD? Cost more mana, rest of the stats seem the same.

Worth having for an SK

Breezed thru this quest when my SK was in the low 50's....Duo'd with another SK buddy of mine close to same level and both fully buffed. Was in and out in a half hour.
Blood, Spit, and Guts

I went there tonight and tried to solo as a 54SK fully buffed. I couldn't take even one down in the Waterfall Room. After 3 Guildmates came to help me we wiped the room and I got all 3 in less than half an hour.

The north end of tunnel in the Dulak luggald caves drops all three parts of this quest with insane frequency. At the 3-way bridge, go straight, then straight again, past the waterfall into the big rooms at the end. Mobs con light to dark blue at 65 and have ~10khp apiece.
Comatose and Blood of Pain
# Nov 25 2003 at 2:06 PM Rating: Excellent
ok.. spent a bit of time doing this quest looking for blood/bile/saliva. I found after camping the room (take a right on the bridge) for 2 nights, no drops. I then went to very end of the caves (mobs are a little higher). You have to go down the steps into the room with the waterfall and go into adjoining room. It's the double room (click on cave wall to get into 2nd room. Loc is 2400, -1200

Had all 3 pieces within the hour. (2 dropped off the Emissary of Hate and other off the Blackblood Assassin

ps..The organs seem to drop off mobs (servant of hate) on center of bridge and in hallway down to the 1st room. Blood of Pain has a pretty cool visual effect

Just did the quest yesterday, I have some minor corrections and addons to the quest walkthrough.

First of all, you dont need to do the organ part of the quest just a waste of time. Go to the bottom cave, first right after 3 way bridge there is a safespot in the far right corner, bring some friends you can't fearkite unless the whole cave is kept down. The rare part is not bile but saliva. Go turn in bile, blood and saliva to the quest npc in stonebrunt, name and location mentioned elsewhere, you get the potion, drink the potion. "you are now comatose enabled", the spell is in your inven or on your cursor. Happy questing

Doing the organ part of the quest gives you a dot spell which i think is a bit worthless but you do gain some pretty good xp from the turn in at lvl 55

the organ's are not rare at all, just kill the servant's of hate that roam on three way bridge. got an organ on first kill last night & other was maybe 45min later at most. not rare at all considering there only like two or three servants,so you have to wait for their repop.

ok - got the organs from the 3 way bridge area in Dulak. Got the saliva, blood and bile from the deeper parts of same set of tunnels. Handed in organs and got Auspice spell. Handed in blood, bile and saliva and got glowing dark blue potion - tad stuck now.

Unless this spell gives me the ability to remained fded after a spell hits me tis garbage for those who have already gotten to lvl 60. Grumble grumble. Otherwise yeah its use for an sk sub 60 is good if they are asking him to split nasty pulls. Although fd splitting is getting to be a lost art with the speed at which mobs move, fizzle rates, and mez.
RE: USE
# Jul 14 2005 at 4:21 PM Rating: Decent
It has half the recast time of Feign Death. Tell us how garbage that would be when FD fails and you're running in circles with a train after you, waiting for FD's spell gem to pop up again.

Quest Location
# Mar 11 2003 at 3:32 PM Rating: Excellent
Spell quest starts in Stonebrunt, unlike the other quests, run east past the boat on the shore to get to quest NPC..

If like MOST of the other quests, you will have to do the 45 spell quest before you can do the 52.
The quest I got, (though it might be mixed up a little because of the new interface) is:

Cedric Trallus says 'Hello Arzenic, chancing a journey to Brokenskull are you? Many have ventured there, but few have returned. I was favored by the will of Thule to return here in one piece, although I would not call my [journey] exactly successful.'

Cedric Trallus says 'Our spies in Erudin were able to learn that a voyage of Deepwater knights was setting sail in search of Brokenskull Island. Our priests in Paineel had received several visions from the lord Cazic telling of great powers that might be found on this island. Our group was instructed to follow their ship across the waters and explore the island should we find it. Find it they did, and more then they ever bargained for on that [cursed isle].'

Cedric Trallus says 'Just as the Deepwater knights were about to drop anchor near a small cove on the island, we attacked them. The magic cloaks we had placed over our ship did their job all too well. We took them by surprise and our forces easily over powered them, but our battle was joined by a [third force].'

Cedric Trallus says 'A group of strange creatures crawled up the side of the boats and began to attack everyone on both sides. They cut through many of us before we were able to retreat our forces back to our ship and turn our sails away from the island. Several of the creatures pursued us through the water with amazing speed. We fought them off and we forced them back into the sea. We were able to slay one of them, or so we thought. We brought the [body] back to Paineel for the priests to study.'

Cedric Trallus says 'When we docked here in Paineel we were carrying the body off of the ship when suddenly the creature came to life. It threw several of our knights into the water and then jumped in himself and swam off into the ocean. We suspect that it used some form of magic to fool us into believing it was actually dead. The necromancers of Paineel are not easily fooled in matters of life and death. We greatly desire to study the [organs] of these creatures to learn the secret of this new magic.'

Cedric Trallus says 'Bring me two samples of these creatures internal organs for our priests to study and we may share the secret of their magic with you. Something tells me you won't come back alive though.'

"I've not played a high level necro/sk but I don't see much of an advantage in this."

15 seconds of running around trying to stay alive when you're splitpulling some huge mobs waiting for FD to refresh will give you a GOOD idea of what eternity feels like.
Subject? See below!

First: in re the "Levels??" post. Not much benefit? You're crazy. There has been many a time where FD has SAVED MY A--. I don't know about most people, but I would Really rather spend my time killing, getting exp, or working out quests than sitting on my butt waiting for a Rezz. IF you can find one. Necros don't make That many friends because we spend most of our time alone.

Second: I haven't yet finished the quest, and, so far as I've been told to get this spell, you actually have to wind up getting Auspice first. Further past the docks in Stonebrunt where the ship is, in the corner of the zone, are a couple of tents, and in those tents are some high level NPC's. I can't recall the guy's name, but there are only two Named there, so, it won't take you long to talk to the right one.
All you have to do is Hail him, and he'll start babbling about their last trip. You follow the prompts in the text, and, finally, he'll get to the point. You need to go into Gunthak, possibly Dulak, and kill "strange creatures" (Luggalds) and collect their "internal organs" (Luggald organs, I believe). I have yet to actually collect any, though I know they exist as someone linked the item. They are No Drop, and you need two. I spent some hours killing them, and saw no drops. I suspect they are a Very Rare drop.

Third, and unrelated to any previous post, watch out while hunting the Luggalds in the tunnels in Dulak. The tunnels do Wierd things to pets: they "Poof" on you. If you are not VERY careful where you walk, your pet will suddenly vanish on you and you will have to conjure a new one. They walk into the wall (Stupid pathing) and are suddenly gone, and if you're not watching your pet's health monitor REALLY closely, you may not notice until too late. I hope Verant decides to fix that little problem, or it may be quite some time before I can get those guts.
how?

Don't be idiots

This spells is great, as a ShadowKnight it will allow me to pull even better than I do now. You see when you guys make it away from DL and actually start pulling in zones a little more challenging you sill possibly learn a thing or two.

When a ShadowKnight pulls, he relies on FD to keep him alive and to split mobs a la monk-style. In case you never noticed the previous FD has a refresh of 14 or 15 seconds, while this one is 8 seconds, now if you have these both memmed at the same time (and maybe you own a set of BE greaves) you should NEVER have a problem you can't get out of. I personally never travel or fight, let alone pull, without FD memmed.

When you are pulling, you aren't concerned with laying down DoTs, you will want your aggro spell and debuffs up along with your FD(s), cause YOU will be PULLING.

I personally am overjoyed with a new FD spell between Feign Death and Death Peace. And for you that say the SK should get this later?? Go smoke more crack, it would make sense for Necros to get this earlier, say in low 40's. Go look up Death Peace, it's only a few levels from this one currently...

For a SK, sure, one more FD is worth having. For a necro, though, I don't see much value in it. I don't often want to give three slots to such spells; even while travelling I'd rather have the option of killing a greenie, which means having some spell memmed to at least start the process. If I'm just going to have two, harmshield still seems like my number two choice. It lasts long enough for the refresh time on regular FD, it lets you get to a better spot to feign in, it can be used to run past see-invis mobs with low aggro, and the cast time is even shorter than this FD. I haven't gotten this spell yet, so I haven't checked out the fizzle rate. If it doesn't fizzle enough to stop me, I'll probably use this one instead of the original FD unless it pops you back up after a few seconds as rumored.
necro's got zilch
# Feb 26 2003 at 7:21 PM Rating: Default
So far Loy has only mananged to break my UI.I've fixed most of the issues but I digress. The 2 spells we get are of little to no value.I don't use FD.Since it's nerf back in the stone ages it's just russian roulette with odds favoring the house.Personally with high channeling skill Gate is the life saver.Sk's being a hybrid should get this spell later then necro's as well. But that's a trivial issue IMHO.The other necro spell is a joke.Another attempt to make a solo class "fit" in with groups.I'll keep soloing and stay alive SoE.Not get in a group and aggro the mobs to me with this weak spell.I could go on about the dye system etc but thats out of context here...
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 27 2003 at 6:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I seriously can't believe necro's are actually whining about more spells. You are already by far the easiest class to play and have every ability in the game except for melee (which your pets do for you) so plz "waaaa" silently to yourselves :P
RE: necro's got zilch
# Jul 30 2003 at 6:55 PM Rating: Decent
Necromancers are in fact one of the most difficult (complicated) classes to play if not THE most difficult. What they are is one of the most powerful classes IMO. Now that DOTs stack with other player's DOTs that's finally breathing some life back into us for higher end and epic encounters (besides just being masters of twitch). I play a 57 necro and I do it with great finess IMHO. Of course, I made him in 1999, so I have had practice. I have seen people as high as 52 that don't know how to play a necro for anything. I'm not even sure when the last time was that I died with my necro outside of a raid situation and I even survive many raid whipeouts. So "powerful", yes, but "easy", completely wrong -- as Darklure said, there are many skills that player must have to play them effectively. Ever seen a necro heal, fear kite while melees attack and do croud control with screaming terror / roots (even softening up rooted mobs with DOTS while meleers are working on another mob), Lich for mana and keep their own health up and keep everybody alive under high pressure? There are some really good necro players out there and some that are more limited.

As a note to Darklure, fear *does* work on many PoP mobs (even thought it's true that it works on less mobs as you get higher).
RE: necro's got zilch
# Jul 02 2003 at 4:12 PM Rating: Decent
You are an idiot and have apparently not played a necromancer or at least a necromancer past the level of 55 or so. Necromancers are not "easy" to play as almost any class out there. Soloing takes skill and time to learn the area and figure out tactics. If you say snare and then fear, ***** off. Fear does not work on PoP mobs, its only used to aggro kite when we need to gain hate with the mob, wtf you play a SK from your post or at least what it would seem to someone who reads it. Gaining hate, if your are tanking for a group and have a class such as a rogue, enchanter, or shaman then common sense would tell you increasing the hate of the mob would allow ***YOU*** to keep the aggro. SKs shouldnt get this at the same level as necro because they are a hybrid of a necro and warrior. But i could care less about if they get it, just a view of spells.

You go play a necro and learn how they work and then post.

***** off you damned noob.

Hate when I hit the wrong button. Anyway, assuming this spell goes live, both SKs and Necros get this spell at 52? That seems odd
RE: Levels??
# Feb 26 2003 at 7:05 PM Rating: Decent
Level info can be found at www.legacyofykesha.com but yes both necros and sk's get the spell at level 52. Although according to the listed stats the only difference between this one and the normal FD spell is it costs 20 more mana, and its recast timer is 8 seconds instead of 15. I've not played a high level necro/sk but I don't see much of an advantage in this.
