If you give a Brass Earring to one of the Dwarven Smiths in Crushbone... You will get "Unfinished Blade Mold"... Am not sure if this one is solved yet /shrug

If you give a Brass Earring to a Male Dwarf... You will get "A Worn Rune"... This is to be given to Guard Haldin in Butcherblock Mountains... Rewards: Exp. and he gave me a Bronze Battle Axe.

Using this quest to PL...
# Mar 23 2002 at 11:39 AM Rating: Decent
I used this quest to PL an ogre mule I have. After clearing out my inventory, I went to IC and got 8 10slot boxes from the gnomes. Then went to EC and filled them with 80 firebeatle eyes. Had my lvl 1 mule turn them in. First load got her to level 4. Second load took her to level 5. After that it takes 2 full loads to get to lvl 6.

I got 2 brass earings the first set of 80 eys, 4 on the next set, and 2 on the one after that. So after 240 firebeatle eyes I got a total of 8 brass earings. Thats an average of one brass earing for every 30 eyes, or every 10 turn ins.

So your chances of getting brass earing seem to be 1 in 10. This is also a viable PL quest if you have someone who can port or run to get more eyes. Took no more than 30 minutes using my druid to go get the eyes in EC.

GL to all,

waste of time?

Maybe for the earring, but it can be used for the gossamer robe quest, 8ac isn't bad levels 1-16, and it's stylish.

this quest seems like a waste of time...go all the way to south ro...get eyes(how many???)
and the earring doesnt even have any stats

Doesn't have any stats? AC 2 looks like a stat to me. Better'n the purely ornamental Golden Earring.
No guff chet

I just got this earing, at the moment it seems pretty good. It is my first earing anyway.
