Pretty much give these to enchanters first and wizards second, the only two classes I can think of that would spam an eligible spell enough for the mana pres to be worth using over even ornate boots.

Shoot me later, but I think these would be good for an enchanter. However, the classes that would most benefit from these are wizards and necros due to the fact that most of thier buffs are self only. Take the time to look at something, and then you will see who can benefit most from an item.

However, in my guild, we have closed bids that are sealed by officers. Winning bid is the person with the most points... so basicly, if you want it, bid.

Get a life Hater. Take your gaseous emissions elsewhere.

Oh yeah, if you got a problem with the Irish and traditional gear, I got a bar full of normally happy people who want to have a word with you.

I'd warn you to watch what you say before it gets you into trouble, but I kinda hope that happens to you.

GL in life, your attitude will get you far.

#Liat, Posted: Sep 02 2003 at 11:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This would be an Uber enchanter item. 40% mana cost reduction on Arcane rune? that saves 160 mana per cast, one could tank mobs for a considerable time at that rate. Arcane rune is probably the largest mana drain enchanters have. 1500 hp shield for 240 mana, that's better than supernal light mana/hp by 36%. That would allow the chanter to tash and slow and tank incoming mobs and offload some of the cleric mana drain.

If I target myself for group buffs, will it work? I know that I can buff someone lower than their level would allow me to if I'm grouped with them, as long as they are not targetted when I cast. If the same kind of trick worked here, it could also take effect on mass group buff as well. Which would save a lot med time.
huh?

That would mean it would only take affect on spells 6.0 seconds long and up. Which would include CH if they didnt exclude it

No, 6.0 seconds and up duration spells would not include CH. CH is an instant spell, with a 10 second cast time. This effect affects uffs that last 6.0 seconds and longer, and is also limited to only benficial buffs cast on self.

If the line "Min Duration: 6.0 Sec" means that it is only for buffs with that duration, then why on earth would they need to exclude the big heal spells?

Ah, some things we'll never know.

Like all focus items that effect beneficial spells complete heal and percent heals are excluded, since this is something that is true of every focus effect I'd assume that it's simply always that way for focus effect items, so rather then make special code to try and include it for effects like this which it won't effect they simply left it as is.

In a sense they didn't exclude those heals so much as they didn't include them to contradict the normal focus effect conditions.

Wow! 40% mana reduction essentially = +50% to your mana pool. Another item very few of us will ever see.

Surely that means it works on beneficial spells that can be cast on anyone including yourself. Wouldn't it say (Self only) if it was limitied to self buffs?

No, the tag for cast-on-anyone buffs is (Beneficial). The tag for self-only is (Self)
