Got this bad boy last night after many years of wanting it. And just wanted to point out that it is not target limited , It will effect as many mobs as are in the 200 radius. Very useful Raid tool as well for them encounters where aoe aggro is needed for control of many mobs, and being a pally with little aoe aggro , this will help fill the gap.

For any that might be discouraged or unsure if this still drops I just got one to drop. The EAST Requa Room. Map says Regua Guardian but this droped from the Regura Protector.
Ive been here off and on for the last 2-3 months mainly to farm Claws and have cleared this room many times and the opposite one every once in awhile. I dont think I ever saw either of the two minis up.
I decided I would farm but with the main purpose of trying to get this item and was sceptical it even droped any more. Well after about 2-3 hours of clearing both Requa rooms I started clearing EAst and two mobs in the room aggroed me. I was perplexed cause I had not pulled and I was sure I had cammo on. Only part way after rooting one and killing the other did I realize I had the Requa Protector. Sure enough he droped the long sought after sword. GL

I was starting to wonder if this still dropped but I can confirm it does indeed as of 7/25/2011. It took about three days of camping to get a couple spawns. Didn't drop the first time; dropped the second.

I'm a Demi Geared Ranger and I have yet to ever Raid in here, been flagged for them for the Elemental Planes the last 2 years and haven't done any Raids in any cept for PoFire. Can Some one tell me exactly how to get to this camp i sat at the entrance camping the first 2 mobs for my drop for my 2.0 and haven't gone any further into the tunnels. If someone can please post a Map or Give specific Directions as to the way to the camp would be greatly appreciated. I want to get myself the Tulwar since I have some lower level friends that needs some faction help, I have an earthshaker that they can use I just want something for myself that isn't that slow.

See "Fishlord Crakk" there?
Pass him, hugging right, set up camp in that tunnel.

YOU are ALL wrong this weapon is one of the most important ones in the game. Its for zerkers to shakerpage ya nubs now take a good look at it again and tell me it isnt uba. GL

Likewise, I have been killing this camp on and off for last three months .. 5 namers 3 protectors, 2 overlords , 5 maces .. will still keep trying , at least the claws still sell well ...

It's a nice toy, got it when we took a guild group or two to kill the overlord.
Obviously it's not very raid friendly, unless your AE'ing add like on mud ring or Coirnav...

this weapon is great for either getting lots of fast faction ..or loosing faction .depends on where you AE at..but yah fun weapon

I'd Take it, and wield it proudly. Not everything you do in EQ involves planar progression. AE groups Rule for clearing Fear, and AE groups are quite fun in alot of places.
You can pass it up, but There will be someone there smart enough to take it. This weapon cn be fun in alot of different scenerios. Enjoy it.

This weapon drops off the Regrua Protector in the Plane of Water. The ranger in our party won it 2 days ago.

Ok this blade has 1 purpose alone...FUN! 
I like to help out on noob raids as charity as a way of taking a break from the continuous xp grinding and long raids. I see myself in places like Mistmoore or Lguk with this chiller. If I ever did AE xp in seb I guess I would use this but I never have. I would love to use this while AE clearing Fear. And I might use this in an xp group in a WIDE open area. The bottom line is this blade isnt to be taken serious. If you can use it roll for it and then clear crushbone with one swing.

that's what makes it great though. for example i was using it earlier when i was doing some of the wars in grimling forest... less time spent pulling!

by the time you are able to get this blade, you are going to be 65 (maybe even higher when next expansion comes out), and there is no way in hell i would use an AoE blade in PoP,,, the adds would chew you up and, after many painful weeks of said chewing, spit you out

ummm yea, i use this on Sol Ro runs on the AE mephit pulls, it kicks ass, me (ranger) and one of our SK's have one and we crit for 700 with it, if killed on raid, doesnt take away DKP, just roll if u want and move on to the minis.
Everyone will look at this weapon a different way. As a tradeskill junkie, this would be awesome for farming components with. I do agree however, this should not be used in any kind of group or on any high-level raids. Would I spend DKP on it? I don't know, depends on the price and what ive got banked when it drops. Maybe.
Actually, think about faction raising? Go to a lowbie zone and whack away decimate the entire zone in a few hits if it can proc (considering it usually takes one hit in a lowbie zone, and procs...take more) you'll gain UBER faction in that zone. I'd use this to seriously work on Cabilis faction or help out with my seriously degraded Tunare faction so I don't have to kill every elf I see. It would save a hell of a lot of time killing mobs individually or even six at a time.

Looks like this would be limited to soloing or small groups. PB AE for 350 isn't bad tho.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Basically, if the delay is less than 28, it really makes the weapon do a ton less damage because 2h weapons get a big bonus on delays over 28. Sadly, this will not be an improvement for anyone who gets it because of that fact :(

And there is an even bigger bonus 40+ dly, which is why the DN lances and claidmores(sp) dont go for much for at least the 30/39 instead of 30/40 ones.
If that proc actually is a AE it's pretty limited in it's uses i'd venture to say
