Shadows of Luclin
I tested this weapon after I got it on our last VT raid (3/10/04) and the bane didn’t seem to hit anything. Robes, 4 arms, or rocks. I never got a chance to use it on the Named in VT, so I'm not sure if it's going to work on them either.
I tested using another 2hb weapon, which was 33 dmg 44 del and was hitting for over 200 most of the time. When I put this weapon on, it was only hitting for 60's... thats not right.
Now I never got to hit a named in VT with it, but I'm beginning to think it only works on Named, or maybe just AHR herself... I will be testing this some more, and will post back here with my findings.
If anyone has this weapon and has experience using it, post away... id love to know what I'm doing wrong...

Tested again on 3/11/04 and the bane doesnt work on anything... not even AHR.
I wonder if it's a bug did you /bug it

Anyone who gives this to a druid or a cleric should have their head examined, IMO. Why in the world would you give a 70/40 situational weapon to a druid?
25wis 25sta 125hp 125mana 15sv all. If they dont have much better and Melees dont need/want. Than i can sure as hell see this going to one.

Gae, you dont know what you are talking about, any cleric that is high enough in level to obtain this level will have their epic, hence no extra mana is needed for rezzes. think before you speak, it might help

Nice stats!! It would benifit a Druid quite well since we wouldn't fight with it but just equip it and cast cast cast = )

I am in agreeance once you are done in VT and if you do not want it pass it to a Druid or a Shammy or hell even the Cleric for that extra mana boost for Rezes hehehe....any of these three classes would greatly benifit from the extra mana especially at high lvls once they have maxed out their Wis. but these are just my $0.02 woth on this weapon. I mean I always read these posts and rarely reply, but that is only cause everytime a weapon is found all any one can do is see the negative about the weapon with this is it cause it can not be used really for dmg outside the VT zone well hell who cares. Look for a toon that needs the stats and be kind who knows that Cleric/Druid/Shammy you pass it to might one day be the one to save your bacon. Never try to see the negative quality of a weapon if nothing else look at the possible selling value (unless it is some of the no drop crud they do have for High lvls so they are not perfect) Everyweapon in the game has a purpose even it is just to twink a Low Lvl toon.

when you say "look for a toon that needs the stats"....then why don't you say "look at a toon that needs the bane damage" ? Those drop too rarely to give them to casters. ...and I play a druid in VT. Once you are in VT, you have a primary and secondary whose combined stats are very similar to this.
Is the bane damage still determined on the atk? Would be hillarious to see a druid doing massive damage with a weapon.
So let me get this straight, this weapon has awesome stats, but crappy, crappy ratio, unless you are beating down on some low disease resisting akheva weanie. I want one, my guild raids ME about once a month, this would do insane damage, and with that nice high delay, you gonna get a huge damage bonus.
This weapon is for use inside VT. It is very nice, but it's also a bit dissapointing, since you can really only use it there.
I'll be the first to admit that I am not in VT yet and don't know much about it. But I assume there are loads of trash mobs to kill to get to the bosses. Whatever uber strats a guild may have notwithstanding, with the recent changes I'm assuming it's in your best interest to kill everything so Aten doesn't gangbang you with her buddies.
Sure there may be better all purpose weapons, but anything that can make the clearing go faster must be a good thing. Right?

ACTUALLY IF YOUR FIGHTING A GREATER AHKEVA ITS A 65/40 WEAPON SO ITS NAME IS TRULY FITING .
disease bane +5....65/40 +5 disease =p so possibly ........70/40 if the save is not made

it's rude and mean to laugh at other people, but i can't help laughing at this one. You raid ME every other MONTH and you want this. To raid ME. every other MONTH. I wish you the best of luck getting your VT key to get it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no GREATER Akhava in ME. A few in Ssra temple, and a whole lot in Vex Thal (where you realy should be using this.).

Akhieva Ruins and VT have greater no other zones to my knowledges have them. And certainly not ME. Lol
Who raids ME anyway? I think he was meaning something else.
he was saying raiding ME for the shard to get the VT key...
