This is a much more common drop in the torgiran mines off the delirious miners

Was in permafrost, got these off an ice giant magus and various goblins, one was an elite ice goblin

i killed goblin janitor 6 times and never seen the ore drop and not sure but seems a nice respawn timer too. anyone know if the large brick of unrefined ore still drops?

Dropped today from a pickclaw visionary in Highkeep basement
I have been looking for the brick for quite some time now (need it for Ogre Cultural Armor), but it didn't drop neither in Runnyeye nor in Solusek's Eye.
Things come when you don't search for them - it dropped yesterday from a delirious miner in Torgiran when I wanted to get the black powder (Beastlord Malaria spell quest)...

Large Brick of Unrefined Ore Looted from a Young Goblin just 3 minutes ago.

Got one today in HighKeep off a pickclaw seer at the lowest part of the basement.
Almost any goblin in Permafrost can drop this also.

I spent a few hours in High Keep last night and these things were dropping almost regularly. It seemed about every 5th Goblin we killed had either a small or large brick of unrefined ore.

Small blocks can be found on some goblins in runeye no idea which kind though. looted a left behind
If there is Unrefined ore to be had in RunnyEye... it does not drop off of the Pickclaws on the bottom floor. They only drop Blackened Iron/Alloy armor and weapons, and spell research components... but its possible that it drops off the Sporali and Runneyeye Gobbies above them... but I don't hunt them... just the bottom floor.

Anyone know what this is used for?
Sesquipedalianism is the verbal shield of pusillanimous eremites, hence we must eschew esoteric obfuscation and thereby obviate our opprobrium.
This has only one known use. It is used in the quest to reset the stock on the HQ ore merchants. Unlike most merchants, the ones that sell HQ ore, spawn with a limited supply of the ore. When they run out, you can respwan a fresh merchant, with a new supply, through a real easy quest.
Get 4 of these, or 4 small brick (all 4 have ot be the same, not mixed). Hail the merchant, and follow his prompts. He will give you a 4 slot box for ore. Put the 4 bricks in it and combine. GIve it back to him. You will receive some plat as a reward, and then the merchant will respawn with a full supply of HQ ore.
Other than that, only use is to sell to merchants.

Some plat? How about 44pp EVERY time you do it? Not a bad way to make $.

Instead of wasting your time farming this for plat get to lvl 80, high level mobs drop trash that sells to vendors for 50-300pp each. Just an idea :)
