These sell for 3k-3.5k on Luclin server.. I got one last night for 2700pp, not a bad price for an earring with good stats. It has 5 more AC ( +8 AC net ) and +12 to the 3 major resists over my AC 2 35hp/mana earrings I had. Shaman will love thos as we need AC, hp/mana and resists when were slowing mobs. Even in the PoV this will help me not get hit and resist those damn 375 HP DD Shards of Glass procs from the crystalline golems. Not to mention these arent Lore either, with 2 of them youd have probably alot more AC and resists than what an average level 50-60 shaman would have in his ear slots. I will either get an earring of solstice or another one of these when my bank account permits.

Worth it? Of course it is! The main stats are sucky that is true but when you get to the higher end game stats are meaningless without resists. All the uber stats in the world wont help if you are dead. Resists become more and more critical as you level and meet tougher and tougher casters. I am getting ne of these for resist gear I wont wear it all the time but there are times it will be very handy.
This earring is for two types of characters; ones who are trying to get pure mana/hp gear and those who are in need of higher resistances. Any character who's travelled the planes understands why resists are important. If you haven't made it that far, next time you do an old world dragon raid like Naggy/Vox/Temple of Veeshan or are doing epic MOBs try taking off resist items are see how much dmg you take from those nasty AOE's.

Got one for my 55 bard... i'm a resist maniac, i hate casters mobs <shrugs>. As you level up you encounter more and more casting creatures who will root you, charm you, fear you, dot you, Harm touch you, nuke you and so on. This is one piece of gear you can get if you aint rich and want to upgrade your resist. Is it worth it ? Yes, imo.
I think this is a good deal for those not in high end guilds. I like seeing when I resist every spell a DB mob casts on me. I gto mine for 1750 on the Nameless.
This earring is not phenomenal. But ... its also fairly easy to produce, which is a big point in its favor. Also, not everyone who gets to the level to get this (level 62, for BoT access) will have better; it is an upgrade over either type of black sapphire earring, any of the 35/35 chardok earrings (cleansing, twisted leaves, etc.), and has 3 large saves that make it an acceptable hp-granting replacement for blue diamond ears. Not everyone has a Bloodmetal Earring of Engagement, a drop from Cazic Thule, or similar items. While most people getting this do have a Solstice earring, we have 2 ears.
So ... all in all, still something that you'd probably want to upgrade eventually. Not a good choice for druids (who can get the 2 earrings from the solstice quest), but certainly not a bad piece for other casting classes, including hybrids (and potentially even melee who have let their earring selection lag behind their "ideal" level of gear).

I'm guessing that this is either a bug or a typo that will be fixed soon. It will probably be an ear slot only item.
Yes Shissar Fangs have stats on them, but they fit in both the range slot and in the ammo slot.
You will receive stat bonuses from items in the range slot, but you will NOT receive stat bonuses for items in your ammo slot.
The only exception to this are the Tradeskill Trophy's, which will add only their "skill-mod" portion to your stats; i.e. you will get the +5% Baking mod, but you will not get the +50 charisma from your Grandmaster's Baking Spoon (or whichever Trophy you have equipped).
