A 66 beastlord could farm Veksar or Droga for much better profit. He is a semi rare spawn, & the respawn in solB is slow.

the boots effects last up to lvl 48. with lvl 44 set spells. at lvl 49 you get your new spells and the effect no longer works on them.. i would keep them though cuz you still cast spells that are lvl 44 and below..and dont ever think of selling them for Coldain bro.

After last nights patch I noticed that the boots now say that the enhancement haste only works on spells up to level 35. Granted I have only had these for a month or so. Was this a nerf or did I just not notice that at all? I am level 58. These are worthless to me now. I guess I will get some Coldain Skin Boots now.

That has always been the spell effect, just with the new patch they decided to tell you what level the spell effect worked up till. And for christ sake don't sell your EBoots for Coldain Skin.

i got these boots about 5 levels ago from a really sweet guy who was leaving for Iraq. he was closing out his account and just GAVE them to me! (apparently, i once tp'd & buffed him for free and he wanted to thank me!) ((God bless you where-ever you are!)) Smiley: inlove

anyway, when i reached level 39 i noticed that while i was fighting, i was getting this msg: "you have healed Qeylaani for ## hp" (don't remember specific number now.) i can't, for the life of me, figure out what's doing that! could it be the boots???

it took 2 lvl53 war's a 52 shaman, a 47 cleric, a 60 bard, and me the low druid (who planed it) that dinged lvl43 while there and we got all the way there no problem but then the cleric had to log after 2 spawns ohhh ya and the bard left after we cleared the room. so just us 5 could handel the 2 spawns and we even had an add. there were no deaths on the night. woo hoo. but the only hard bart is getting there after that its easy to hold at lest as far as i saw. ill repost after we do it again in a weekend or 2. just my findings i thought that they would help.

I am a wizard and i currently have the coldain skin boots, i perfer 35 mana to 1 int to me is worth about 10 mana. should i switch over to these or keep the coldain skin? they r worth the same on my server so its would be an even trade moeny no option. will the effect work on my lesser evac. i think some said? also will it work on my familiar summoning.. cause thats a buff i think. anyway, what will make my evacs faster?

RE: my question
# Jan 28 2003 at 10:12 AM Rating: Good
35 mana is worth more than 1 Int, but the enchancement haste effect won't help your evacs because it only works on spells with a duration of 72 seconds or more, and an evac is considered instantaneous.

I don't see any limitation keeping the effect from working with your familiar summoning, though that seems more like a summoning haste effect instead of enchancement haste.

I noticed this a couple days ago as well. Perhaps a little boost along with the Enhancement Haste II to make them competitive with the Coldain Skin Boots. Not that a +1svp mod is much, but it's something.

Depending on your needs, these can still be a good choice over Coldain Skin. As a less-than-40 Shaman, I'd pick these just to get those buffs off faster in order to sit down and med back up sooner on spells you'd be casting anyway. Combined with a Totemic BP (for the Extended Enhancement II) I save a lot of time and mana on recasts. An extra minute or two on a buff could mean the difference between making it to the zone, or having SoW die out and having to start yet another CR.

There's my input. Take it for what you will.

I disagree with the post that said you need a enchie for this camp. If your under lvl 55 then you probably might need one and especially if you don't know the area like the back of your hand. Why? Cause I know a 60 monk who takes the camp easily with a 55+ cleric friend of mine every once in awhile. You have to know how to pull in the zone and not aggro everything around you. Have the cleric (or shammy) debuff, root and snare the mobs. Kill them quickly as they are on a 10 min time spawn. I belive I can take this camp with a cleric and a rogue (for the extra damage, me being a 56 warrior) long as you can single pull your way up to efreeti and not aggro everything. Two or three well equiped and experienced people can take this camp without a enchie. Btw I may be a warrior but I wouldn't mind winning a role on these pair of boots, I mean, 3k, come on. But guildies and friends comes first in my book

took this camp with me (52 monk, well dinged 53 after we were there for an hour) a 60 chanter, a 60 druid and another 58 monk.
easy camp, only problem was getting there, i was too low and kept agroing stuff from 10 miles away, luckily we had a good chanter and me and the other monk do uber dmg. once we got there, it wasn't a problem tho.
having a chanter for crowd control, dispelling DS, slows, and haste, and a druid there for heals and circle of seasons is all you need. the 58 monk was uber, so i wasn't even needed. the irony to that: i was the only one to get eboots =). although we did only spend 3 hours there.

Well, consider that the people doing the camp were higher level, I'd have to assume that they wanted the boots to sell. You are correct, 5 AC and 2.5 stone is not an acceptable ratio for a monk.

I started to camp the AC in OOT at lvl41 and i got one drop so thats about 4k. Maybe they didnt entend for it to grop like candy because it is a great item. But im crazy for effects i belive that they save more mana then what you would get by the extra one or 2... but thats just my oppinon. i do plan to get some friends together and run on in and camp it for a while so that we can get some money. Thats just my oppinion though.

Um, what are you talking about? These boots drop off Efreeti Lord Djarn in Nagafen's Lair, they have nothing to do with the Ancient Cyclops in OOT. Are you thinking of Jourenyman's boots or something?

Also, this focus effect doesn't save mana, it just speeds cast time.

Succor spells can be simply thought of as evacuation spells for either yourself or group. Lesser succor ports to a "zone safe point" commonly a zone line or outside city if there is one in that zone. There are also Succor East which evacs to East Karana, Succor Butcher which evacs to Buterblock, etc...

Personally I use <-- this in times of distress. Same cast time as the original spell (I think) and mana free, for you and also your group. Since lesser evac does take group mana too.

P.S. I craft these on Prexus. If you want to buy one I sell them very cheap, for a mere 500p. Give a tell to Finaleena and I'll hook ya up. :-)

Right, don't get me wrong, these are awesome and all. On the wonderful server of Fennin Ro, however, we seem to live by Price Checks, which really drives the price down, as well as other factors...right now, the market is flooded with GEBS, and while the demand is also pretty good, it's not so much to make these things 5k. Right now, the standard price (on our server) is 2-3k, 3 being the standard easy to find sell and 2 being a slightly harder deal. I'm not saying these things aren't WORTH 4k, but at least on our server, we've been going by supply and demand rather than product "value" for a while now. That's my 2 cents...i'll be buyin these when i get the cash!<dont flame this! doo doo doo doo>

Prices are based on what people imput to the database. The prices of most items on Fennin Ro are lower than other servers because Fennin Ro is one of the oldest servers so people have been farming these high-value and reliable drop items longer than other servers. Simply put, there are more GEB's on this server than say Antonious Bayle (sorry about any mispelling, I don't play on that server), so the demand is lower. Now as far as new items go (i.e. Luclin items) the prices are probably a little higher because there is more plat available to be spread around (well, except for all the people buying Horses taking massive amounts of plat out of the economy) the prices on Luclin items have been artificialy high due to novelty value. Expect to see most (but not all) luclin items to go down in value as well as a few old world items raise in value as people come to there senses (like with Fungi Tunics. 19k people? Commonm their worth more than that!).

Doesnt the supply and demand give you the product value? Surely no artificial value can be assigned (and attained) for a product if there is no demand at that price.

But to ge honest I think that most in EQ do look at it the way you described it, so I may be wrong.

No, you're right.

People may sell for more than the supply/demand price, and people may insist on paying less, but those are single instances. Over all, no matter what individual people think it's worth, the price will average out based on supply and demand. That's economics, nothing you can do about it.

Read below and see that most posts say basically what they paid or their war stories about how they got them. (just thought I'd sum up my 15 minutes of reading for you ;-) )

Ok, if you want a pair of these things, and who doesn't... go to the commons and start lookin for a good deal. On burtoxx there is usually someone selling a pair. (personally I've never seen one go for less than 5500 but I dont live in the commons either, I only go there when I want to buy something specific)

As far as the stats go... I just got my shammy up to 191 wis thanks to the 9wis of these beauties, so I can't stand here and say I wouldn't recomend them to any caster, but for a stronger melee class like my sk, I think I'll look for something with more ac and maybe a ballanced str or dex stat to add in, so I'd suggest only selling your grandma for these if you really need them for your caster. ;-)

thanks for reading.

My experience this weekend. We had the following people:
51 warrior
51 cleric
51 shaman
50 rogue
50 druid
50 cleric
49 warrior
47 warrior
47 paladin
46 druid
41 cleric

For those who know this area, one thing will be resoundingly clear, no monk for pulling, and no chanter for crowd control. We almost made it to the room until we had an overpull of 3 imps and one elemental. Unfortunately the cleric was unable to camp out. We lost the group just before the stepping stones and when we recovered all the corpses the groups kind of fell apart and the raid broke up.

In my defense I had a 51 monk and a 52 chanter scheduled for the raid, but neither showed and it turned out to be a disaster.

My advice, get a VERY skilled puller or a monk (by nature skilled with fd), or a chanter for crowd control. That will help you get into the room, once in the room, it is a piece of cake (got in later with another guild and lost the roll on the boots).

Eh? Last time we broke in there was lvl 49 ranger, lvl 52 or 53 druid, same lvl shamand and lvl 43 shaman, also lvl 45 or 46 chanter. Sure we had it a bit easier as there was a group before us who left, but we still had to fight through few imps and couple of elementals. Which we also did and got it and got the boots, 3 times. Unfortunate for me was that I had to go, also that the ranger suddenly decided that he needed the boots for his alts and so he nabbed them before me, although I won the roll...

Pull carefully, slow mobs, dispell elemental damage shields and it's doable. Of course, if we would have had to break into the room at start, then we would have needed better tanks and clerics as well. But it was our luck that this wasn't the case. However, having such an army with you and then not getting through.. Beats me.

Yar! Enchanter needed for sure!
My own war story:

We exp farmed this guy with two level 54/55 warriors, level 50+ druid and shaman, a level 56 cleric and a level 50+ enchanter (only the warrior and cleric was above 55). Fighting our way in was a blast and clearing his guardians (lava guradians and imp protectors) before we tackled him was a must. The fight to get in was an adventure in itself.

Once we got in, the Efreeti lord was toast! The Enchanter tashed him, mezzed 2 adds and proceeded to chain stun him and his friends with Color skew and Color slant! MASSIVE STUN LOCK! The Efreeti never had a chance, the warriors HP never moved down a sliver. We then exp our way up on all the surrounding imps and lava guardians. Everybody had a great time, we managed to get GEBs for all that needed it and the melee ring too! We gated out when everybody needed to log.

Get him if you can manage the camp!
Enchanters needed IMO.

Took him down, 60 monk(RoTWF, Fungi(interchanging), 56 cleric(epic) and me, 48 druid. I already had eboots, so they just kinda sat there until the rest of our guild arrived. forgot who got em. Was fun though..

I've seen eboots drop every time, i dont know why they are so expensive. Haven't seen the ring once, in about the 5 times i've seen him die. Just my input... Later

The main thing to remember about the price on these boots is that it varies from server to server. Older servers have a glut of higher level players that can do this camp. New servers do not.

So 4k might be average on bertoxx which is an old server but 9-10k might be reasonable on servers like Antonious Bayle or FV.

On the other hand, older servers have a lot more money floating around in them, new servers don't. Many more people would be able to shell out 9k on an old server than on FV or AB, so it may go for more on older servers. Just my 2cp.

These go for 6 to 7 K on Torvo. Took hours to find someone to sell me a pair for 5500 pp. I've seen them auctioned once or twice for 5K but didn't have the plat at the time. Just my 2 cp.

Easily. a 56 monk (me), 58 monk and a 55 druid (friends alt) broke our way into the room and held it easily for about 4 hours.

Well, 8k is absurd and the chances this will be sold for 8, even 10k are nil. In quellious these things are common 4-5k, in fennin I hear 2-3k from friends, and even in the newest servers, I'd say they would TOP at 7k, but that is just a guess cause I have no clue about those servers=)

All I can tell you is that 8 and 10k is waaaaay out there.

8k is a bit much considering the fact that i bought a pair for 2k on the druzzle ro server a week ago and a friend of mine payed 2500pp just yesterday.

btw, this average price of 4500 is wrong. 7k is standard on my server, morell thule

you must be around 50 to get these boots. furthermore they are incredible. ac 5 int 9 wis 9 all/all, in a FOOT slot? and you think this should only be worth 2k? haha.

Average price on The Rathe is 5k. They sell in about 3 auctions for that. If you wanna sell them quickly, 4k goes in one auction. These lil boogers go quick. I'm a rogue and I know how fast they go and for how much, that's how common and desired they are.
