Fetid Hide Drape
# Jan 18 2003 at 12:16 AM Rating: Decent
The Fetid Hide Drape drops off of a level 65 Rogue named Assassin Kakoo. His max hit against the MA was 669, but he had a nasty 2k damage proc, which he seemed to fire quite often, accompanied by the following text: "You legs buckle and bleed, you have taken 2000 points of damage!". "You legs"? Looks like someone needs to proof-read... and then change the wis to int.

Immune to changes in attack speed (slows). Snared with Festering Darkness. Killed with 1 full group having our shaman and druid assisting the cleric with healing.

Uh Hello..

The + mana that gives makes this at worst what .. +5 int cloak?
The addition to wis is just a fringe benefit. For enchanters, we have to spin two plates.. int and cha... where mages and wizards have only to focus on INT. With its cha, disease resistance, and HP bonus I would equip this item WITHOUT +mana, much less without int.
I'm a few int over cap as it is, and I would welcome some decent resist gear with cha on it.
It's a good enchanter cloak.. the rest of y'all casters can go somewhere else for your cloak-wearing needs... so don't roll on it ;)

VI accident I believe

I think that whoever inputed the stats for this item accidentally clicked on wis instead of int. I mean I am sure that has happened before. Look at all the items that are equipable by certain races or classes that necesitate skills unusable by that class. Slash for a cleric etc etc. I am almost willing to bet that the programmer who did the stats clicked on wis intead of int by mistake. Every other stat is in line with the classes but that ONE.

Maybe if someone submitted a developer corner suggestion of changing it to INT maybe it would get done.

Or maybe they're just being Verant. They dont just create items spur if the moment, they're checked many times along the road before going live. I think this was intentional.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 17 2002 at 3:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) basically, Anizoks gauze press before and after its patch, Now only rechargable, used to be summoning bandaids unlimited. They check you say, they mean to do things, you say. I say, you have not seen things change in two days before, I say, this team of people has gotten so big, that things evenutally, and often do slip through the cracks, and its not a good thing, lets head to SWG and leave this **** in the dust.

By the time one catches the level to obtain this on a raid, an INT caster's INT should already be maxxed or nearly so. WIS will help in tradeskills, however, as one's INT will allow the item to not be failed on, and the WIS will allow the skill points to raise faster. Not to mention that the INT is made up for with the amount of mana, which is VERY desirable!

Hope that gave you a bit of insight on why this is still a kickarse caster cloak.

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 16 2002 at 12:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) to be honest you 3 must be smoking crack. wtf do i care about tradeskills if i go kill a mob i want the item to fit my class. Btw you guys ever hear of the stats cap going up once you hit 61 plus ? look under your AA widonw so stats past 255 do matter, meaning vi just ***** a perfect good item nuff said

I'm not quite sure you understand how trade skills work Kaledine. You get skill improved from the stat that is higher, int or wis period. Sucess is based upon SKILL, with another check for smithing in str and I believe there is another skill that has another stat check but am not positive.

Yes, the mana on the cloak is nice as is the dr (hard resist to get much of) and the hps. Cha is great for enchanters and necros (since so much necro gear is neg cha).

good points, except for the one on skill raising. I have made several of trade skill mules, usualy they are erudite enchys, because they have the highest base cha/int combo. i have also made halfling druids for the same reasons as they have the highest wis base (just for compareison), and i have found that the only factor involved in failure succes rates is skill lvl, and the only controle in how fast you can raise your skill is based upon your total int, or total wis, wichever is higher. that is for common trade skills, i have read alot about how wis effects your cultural smithing and potery, so at these lvls wis would be handy for that kind of stuff.
WIS?

Hold on a second... 8 WIS and 0 INT on a piece that's only worn by INT casters? Curious.
