No drop Oookay?!?
# May 19 2003 at 3:12 PM Rating: Default
Must be another no drop on every other server but FV cause on FV I picked up one of these on the ground . . .

and from what everyone is saying above they are transferable sooo . . . how can they be NO DROP ??? I am confused.

Ok, here's how this works. On every server EXCEPT FV, the SHARDS are no drop. However, the shards are used to make the pulsing blue vial, which is a relatively low level brewing combine. Trivial around 150ish.

The VIALS are tradable. As is the Drunder's steel, that is used to actually make the weapon. The Decorin Ore shard that is used to MAKE the drunder's steel (trivial 180ish), is no drop.

So, have the brewer in your guild loot the Valorium shards, and a smith hold the decorin shards.

Once the vial and drunder steel are made, they can transfer the items to the person making the weapon.

The actual weapon combine is zero trivial, so no skill is needed in order to make it (no fail too, I think).

So as long as one person in your regular grind group is a brewer, and a smith, everyone in the group, or guild can have the dark courage weapons.

FV is the exception. Very few items are NO DROP on FV. Most items listed here on Allakhazam are from the standard servers.

Combine with one celestrial solvent in a brew barrel to get "a pulsing blue vial" that is droppable and one of the items needed to get the "black insanity" Zek Bane weapons. Trivial is about 151 in brewing.
fun fun

hehe, I /duelist'ed on my rogue with 200 throwing with a few of these.. landed a 254 hit once, was pretty fun. I wish they dropped more frequently, and its rare to be grouped with a smith...

If you have any more info on making Zek Bane weapons please list here. I have camped the left and right side at top of castle and only seen these drop once. Dropped off golem there.

You can get a stack or so of these at any castle camp, so they usually get destroyed or rot. THey are too common to save if you don't need.

endless quiver equivalent?
# Dec 06 2002 at 4:09 PM Rating: Decent
If rogues get an endless quiver equivalent (too lazy to check myself) then these would be sweet to snag even one.

Not sure about rogues, but I found out as a ranger with EQ. If I put a throwing weapon in the range slot and another one in ammo, I never run out :). A cool side effect of endless quiver, maxed my throwing fast with a couple shissar fangs.

rogues get crits on throwing weapons. just give these to a rogue and watch him go nuts.
Fun perhaps.

Fun toys if you save up a bunch (I've 23 so far). They certainly are of no real use though unless we find something that summons them or makes them not used when thrown.

Consider them the PoV Throwing Boulders though and have some fun getting big critical/deadly hits on undead targets.
