Ive seriously been farming this for 11 hours straight and havent seen it drop at all, ive gotten all the other drops from the valiant spirits over and over -.-
I have hunted there for many years now considering pop is some years old. I have never ever seen it drop off a black suit always the white suit. Good luck guys hope this helps you get more of these.
At lvl 53 I found I could hold aggro over a lvl 62 pladdin in Grieg's End. In Dranik's Scar soloing at lvl 54 those crits/crips at 300-500 hps are hard to match!
I have asked many MTs about 2h slash vs 1hslash and all have told me that on the POP 2hslash generates more Hate and that I should run with my Windblade. True it will help if I can augment it with a proc.
duel weilding, especially with procs, will out agro 2h. Most PoP mt's used 2h for a while because of the high hits the mobs put out, using 2h reduced riposte damage.
all ive noticed is that i put out much better dps with windblade. With warmarshalls i hit for around 150 normal where as with WB i hit for an average of threehundred. and as a warrior, the only thing i would suggest is that u use neither of these when trying to get aggro, because w/o a proc, and no dual wielding you would loose aggro fairly quickly.
WMBS slightly out dps's windblade, more noticeably in the long run. Don't be fooled by the big flashy hits. If you do actual parsing of the dps, the wmbs will pull ahead more and more the longer the fight runs.
If anyone has an actual in game stat window pic could they plz post it....thanx all

i know this is gonna start a fight but which is better for damage wmbs or this? i currently own a wmbs and am only lvl 15 but i want to know whether this or the wmbs is better in the long run. IM a zerker so i dont cast spells. I would also like to know which weapon and belt haste combo is the best? i was thinking rbg for the stats or soulscream couldnt pick one though
For a zerker imo because i just started one get the higher dmg weap in this case Windblade because of frenzy which is just another meele attack so if you attack fewer times but with frenzy you hit for a ton it will increase your dps by more based on your class abilities for almost any other class id rather have the WMBS for an alt but for my zerker id spring for the higher dmg weap for frenzy alone. Currently i use a Reaver 40/40 and i have not done any tests on this and frenzy but to contradict me if ppl wish to i still need to test if the repop timer on frenzy is based off the delay of the weap and is effected by haste and what not because if the frenzt timer can be reduced useing those then the primary part of my argument for teh Windblade is reduced to my oppinion that hitting for biger #'s is more fun. Ill post again after i get around to checkinign teh repop timer with no haste and with different weapons.
The Damage ratio is very close between the Windblade and WMBS, I have used both and for the price difference the WMBS is far better. However at level 60 I would recommend the velium gemmed, since update it has had 100 hp,Mana & End added to it. great stats and the same delay as WMBS but 34 DMG and the Highest DMG ratio Money can buy, not to mention is has Two aug slots and not one.

In terms of pure dps then I think this and the wmbs are quite similar, with the wmbs moving ahead a bit once you get into the 50s when damage bonuses start building up. At level 65 I reckon the wmbs will do around 5-6% more damage than this on average.
This is only based on my calculations though, so I would happily change my opinion if someone has done some real testing.
However one advantage of this weapon is that you will take a lot less damage from ripostes.
And in terms of life at 50+, let's not forget the Two-Tined Corpse Pitchfork. At level 51, it is effectively a 25/22 with dmg bonus 9... On par with Windblade ratio-wise, plus that dmg bonus really adds up with such a low delay. Not bad for only 1.5k in the bazaar, eh? http://www.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=17819
So, after tanking and soloing for a couple of weeks with my 2TCP, I'm beginning to think that the Windblade is overrated, especially with all the awesome GoD player-crafted items.
It loses a significant amount of damage bonus because it is not delay 28 or higher. Those are generally the preferred 2-handers. Also, faster slashers tend to eat the ripostes a lot more. For tanks I'd recommend the Windblade simply because it's slower but still a very close ratio.
I have my Main on Stromm, it was going at 50k but now more like 80k. I'd recommend you use WMBS till 60 then gett the Velium Gemmed Greatsword. Cheaper the the Windblade and IMO far better. I've used all three mentioned and the Velium is far the best I've used that you can buy.

I'm currently a 65 paladin, I've had my windblade for a loooong time. i have Combat Fury 1 at the moment with my str maxxed (no ND) I hit for about 365 max with this.. I have critted for 540's. This is with Combat Fury 1 , so keep that in mind. I'm looking forward to seeing how much i crit for with CF3 and also howmuch i 'Cleanse' for with SU3 :) I'm a big numbers type of player and wouldn't give up my windblade for very much at all.. I love it. plus bigger delay ratio cuts down on riposte damage which can help you tanking mobs like BoT tower, and GoD stuff.
On my server (Stromm) prices are sky high and the Windblade is going for 80k+ the Staff on the other hand is going for 8k a tenth of the price. As a pally I have proc spells, and a proc aug and like the speed of the staff (28) as it gives me more chance to proc. Also between stuns I can get two srikes with staff as compared to one with the windblade.(with haste item and chanter I cap in haste) For warriors and berserkers it must be a different issue, but 10th of the price of the Windblade it's needless to say I went with the Staff.

Proccing rates are by the minute instead of by the swing. Thus, although you swing more with the WMBS, the overall proc amounts in a 15-20 minute period will be about the same. The difference is that the windblade will be more spikey in the short term for proccing, as will its DPS, due to its high delay.
Ok, first off this is not meant as a flame so put away the torches. I just want everyone to see the what is considered by most to be the truth.
Over on www.thesteelwarrior.org forums there have been multiple discussions on the topic of DPS and the common equation that is accepted is:
((damagex2)+damagebonus)/delay 0 So plugging these 2 weapons into this equation you get the following at lvl 65:
Windblade: ((50x2)+45)/44=3.3 DPS
War Marshal's Bladed Staff: ((31x2)+35)/28=3.46 DPS
So, in the end WMBS is better, not by much, but it's better (and cheaper :P)
Here's another interesting point, since both of these weapons have exactly the same recommended level, it's easy to compare them at half that, level 28.
Windblade ((25x2)+4)/44=1.2 DPS
War Marshal's Bladed Staff ((15x2)+1)/28=1.0 DPS
So, in reality the Windblade is better the lower lvl you are (after 28 so you get damage bonus), and gets worse as you approach the max damage bonus. At my warrior's level of 48, these weapons are nearly identical, the WMBS is 2.25 DPS and the WB is 2.27 DPS.
And just a disclaimer, the 'DPS' ratings may not be exacty, but nonetheless it is a good way to compare the 2 weapons.
It doesn't sound like this equation gives very good DPS ratings. A weapon of this range will cause over 10 times that amount of damage in combat. A level one warrior with his starting weapons does about 2 DPS.
Actually, since he divided by delay, this would be the base dps per tenth of a second. So move the decimal point by 1 digit, and this is a good rough calculation. Of course, the ACTUAL DPS depends on your: attack, haste, weapon skill, and the Mob's AC, level, and damage avoidance/mitigation among other factors.
The big advantage the windblade offers, is the ability to cast a complete spell between swings, minimizing the loss of melee DPS while casting.
I really like using my WoHG I hit for over 100+ everytime with it, and yes its a little slower but hey if you can't afford it, and are looking not to buy stuff anymore. Than just use WoHG, i don't use it when I'm Mt of course. And I actually like the look of being a "math teacher". Also, I rarely ever see any 65 tanks using this. Windblade is just for those peeps that want to show off what they have I guess...
