was in PoV 10/29/07 fished for about 45 min cought 1 crawdad
I see folks at SoE have no idea where crawdads come from... they live in swamps and muddy ground, and are dredged up through the mud from areas that look like rice paddy fields. They would most appropriately be foraged... to fish a crawdad makes about as much sense as to fish a potato :-)

Fished one up in valor today also
Any info on what tradeskill these are used and what the result is?
I have fished PoN but not caught one of these buggers yet. Do I need a certain fishing skill or is there a certain area to fish for them?
My fishing is only 97 and you have 125 goin in, I think I need over 100 to get them.
I was at the docks in PoN today, and got eight of these while collecting the Nightmare fish for the pole quest. Not sure if it helps, but I went in at 125, left at 143 with 5 nightmare fish, 8 of these, 40 fresh fish, one sandal and 18 scales. Took three stacks of normal bait.

Just for giggles, I thought I would try the same thing, but at a different level, just to see what happened. I started with 40 more points (165), but I ended with similar results:
PoN (not docks, just by waters edge), with 3 stacks of bait.
Started at 165 fishing, ended at 171.
Got:
-1 rusty dagger
-13 Fish Scales
-28 fresh fish
-7 Nightmare Cichlids
-9 Waterleaf scales (anyone know what this is for?)
-8 crawdads
Main difference is that I got these Waterleaf scales--maybe they are only fished at higher level? Or maybe they were added after you fished there.
Incidentally, also started at 153 Alcohol Tolerance, and ended at 158, but that was completely separate from the fishing.
