I must agree, I joined an EP guild several months ago, and ever since, it seems that the more impressive the stats become, the more lowbie i look... btw, i <3 these pants! Won them today and boy was I glad to dump the Elysian legs i was wearing....only one piece of elysian left...(arms) On another note, I kinda like the fact that they put regen on them, makes it oh so nice for kiting during RZTW or say the mudwalker ring when a little extra kiting help is needed. FT is in abundance considering EP gear unless they remove the FT cap( a rumor i heard ) so the regen is a nice touch
I just got those today. And what can I say... they are pretty good. Was very big upgrade for me. of course the effect doesnt do much good to a druid heh.
Provided you have access to PoWater (ok, not many do), these drop like candy. Great legs that are MUCH more common than elemental legs (and the elemental legs arent *that* much better). If I counted right, every monk/druid/beastlord has these, except for one druid that has the elemental legs.
Awesome legs though. Newbie light tan leather look. Thank you LoY for armor dying. = )
Regens are very important, I agree, but if you're at the level of attaining this drop, hp regen is less impoartant for a raiding beastlord than raw hps and attack. When named mobs turn and ripost for 2500 to 3200+ a shot, hp regen means very little whether it's 20/tic or 200/tic. You want the hp pool to keep your character out of low hit point agro danger before you can get healed. Attack, of course dirrectly effects DPS so naturally this stat is paramont to bsts, a dps class. By the way, these are a very fine EP leater drop, and I look foward to owning a pair.
Seems like this trio of useable classes is showing up on ALOT of items. I'd like to say it makes sense, as all 3 are seen as leather usable classes. But why not classes that can use better than leather? Why not shamman instead of druid (after all, beast lords are a shamman hybrid)? Why not Rangers, the hybrid druids? Why halfling druids and ogre beast lords wearing the same pants? (one size fits all indead). I realy wish the people at Sony would give the usable classes for these items a little more though (yeah, with this AC and where your getting it, there probably arn't alot of chain and plate classes that would want this. so?), and stop excluding classes just because they want the "leather" classes to feel special. (basicaly, I guess I want them to include Rangers and Shamman. I don't even play rangers or shamman!)
#REDACTED,
Posted:Feb 28 2003 at 6:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) stop whining and shut up. to program a SIZE onto every piece of armour and weapon and item, it would most likely make it so u couldnt wear half your armour. then take into account how HUGE each file would then become. you most likely wouldnt b able to hold all of the EQ files and all of the other files on your computer. before you whine, think of what would happen if someone actually gived a **** about your opinion. oh and also learn to spell: shaman, not shamman.
if you look at the elemental armor patterns.. its broken down: plate - war/clr/pal/sk/brd/ chain - rog/shm/rng silk - nec/enc/wiz/mag leather - dru/mnk/bst
through many of the other dropped items from the elemental planes, they still follow this rationale. There are a few items that are all melee/hybrid, as well as all wis/int casters, as well as only wis casters (Blackflame sphere is clr/pal/dru/shm), and even a few all/all items. But for the most part, if its a type (leather/plate/chain/silk) it will go according to the applicable classes.. These legs, are definitely leather (newbie leather look at that)
I tell you.. the better items I get, the more I look like a lvl 10 druid.
The reason MNK, DRU, BST is showing up a lot on items is because those are the PURE-leather wearers. They are meant to wear leather, just like ROG, SHM, RNG is the chain trio (read: they are supposed to wear chain).
