See some conflicting drop rate claims here. My personal experience is getting an average of 5 Knuckle Joints each clearing of all mobs in the zone outside of the locked door area. Cleared in about 5 minutes. x 10 times yielded 51 Knuckle Joints.
Do I Have Too?
I got 12 of these in 1 night killing the zone in less than an hour on a 73 Mage. This item is definitely not Rare as listed. In fact, they are quite common but I would list it as maybe Uncommon at best.

246 yard trash killed to get 1 of these. I'm done! Hate this zone, too, the aesthetics are disagreeable to me. I guess I just don't like junkyards lol!

I have ben having fairly good luck with my level 85 using beam and pulling and wiping multiple mobs - been getting 5 to 8 drops per zone wipes. My challenge is I really don't like to monopolize a zone. But this is the only zone where this item drops - so when someone else zones in I camp my guy. It would be nice to either increase drop rate, have drops in another zone, or have an optional item for the recipe that requires the knuckle joint - I think there is only one.

This item also dropped off the corroded model in PoI.

FYI....this item hardly drops on Quellious (Rodcet Nife) any longer.....I have camped PoI alot for this item to work on tinkering and have maybe recieved 1 outta 100 kills as an avg
This item is used in tinkering: Knuckle joint, Firewater, 2 Metal Rods in a toolbox = Crab Cracker(trivial >250, used in baking recipe) www.eqtraders.com for more info

Found in Plane of Innovation on the yard trash. Not the Plane of Knowledge as currently listed.
