a necro with this can use the nullify magic effect to strip buffs off of the target mob on INC, and since clickies dont have bearing on the ~2 sec spell gem refresh, instantly FD to split a mob...

You would have to have +12 int on an earring to get the amount of mana this ear gives to the 200+ caster.
And find me some other item that has +8 to all resists.. this item rocks and the person awarded it will cherish it as one of the nicer items they have.
Never underestimate the value of resists to a 60+ raider.. this ear is just plain awesome w/o even considering the other stats and the effect.
The only ear that comes close to this is the Bloodmetal Earring of Engagement and that sells for about 30k.
I would gladly take off my BEoE for one of these.. actually, i just did! :)

Couple of things: 1) INT isn't linear, you get different amounts of mana for each point of INT depending on what your INT is. 2) There's a (recently increased) mana cap from items.
INT from mana is kind of ignorable. If you're an INT caster, you should max your INT, period. Once you do, you should focus on getting that INT down to as few slots as possible so that you can get items that you need for other reasons (e.g. focus, mana, HP, etc) in other slots.
That said, this is a very nice earring, and yes the resists are very nice. I'm going to be turning it down ;-)

OK maybe it's just me, but pure mana is greater than int. At 60 one int is 10 up to the 200 soft cap, then 5 per int. At 65 it's 12/6. So purely for mana this is worth a little less than 12 int. Plus it keeps me that much more under the int cap in case I deside to use chanter buffs (I'm a necro). Then it has 80 pure hp and good resists, I love it.
Here is what I don't understand. I am in a guild that works on the dictator loot system, and I am currently on the loot board. This dropped tonight for us and I turned out to be the only person to put in for it. Only reason i can think for that is people under estimating the power of pure stats. I know it would have been an upgrade for several people there. And I can even think of a few people I would have withdrawn my bid so that they could get the upgrade. Oh well, their loss.

First, rangers arent a class that can equip this, second, by the time you can take down the mob that drops this and are of sufficient level to use it (55) WIS and INT wont matter to you because you will most probably be way over the INT or WIS caps of 255. I personnally consider the mana stat at this level to be most important, and this one of the best earrings in the game for +mana.
The Nullify Magic effect is very handy for removing some Dots and effects during raids without taking a spell slot. Very handy.

did i say anything about rangers needing this? no i didn't. Not every 50+ caster has their WIS or INT maxed out. my post wasn't meant to be flamed at so leave it be.

ok if you are 55+ and have max wis or int you would want mana items and resist items to live through AoE mobs... so people will always want to upgrade..
