Blightfire moors is a good place to get this. had 5 drop in about 15 min. griffons are just east of Mesa zoneline. and this item also says Quest on it... anyone know what quest this is?

The only quest I can even think that would use this is the beginner baker's trophy. Hearty Meat Sauce uses griffon meat and it is one of the food you have to make for the trophy.

Considering it takes me, a 73 mage, days to collect stacks of these for baking I would not call them "common"........not "rare" mind you, but not "common".

Griffon meat also falls off the Griffons in Nedaria's Landing.
After collecting 3 stacks of Griffon meat I went to Bazaar and set my price for 150pp. Sold all in 5 minutes.

For that matter, shouldn't EVERY griffon drop griffon meat? What? Some griffons are flying around with no meat on them? Griffon skeletons?
Same with bears, lions, wolfs, ETC.

I didn't beleive it when I was told Griffon meat could only be forund on Griffs in Jaggedpine. I went to NK and killed a few dozzen Griffons and no meat. This makes no sense Griffon meat is not dropped by Griffons??? I think this needs to be fixxed.

And FYI there is no Griffawn meat, only Griffon meat. And if there was Griffawn meat it wouldn't be dropped by Griffawns, that would make too much sense.

Plain and simple, some griffons and griffawns are just too small to have a sufficient amount of meat on them. The ones in JP are just big enough... now since there isn't a sufficient amount of information on what these make, I'll either need to buy a premium account, or check eqtraders for the recipe.
