Level to attain this wonderfully crappy piece of equipment is 1, how many level ones do you see carrying around 125 plat except twinks?
Ah.. but store brand plate & chain is available at level 1 also.. it's just store merchandise. Doesn't mean you're able to buy it at level 1. Wouldn't it make sense for stores on the moon to have different merchandise than down below?
Actually, I assumed they dropped that idea with the expansions, since no one ever buys the merchant armor. Why would you, when you've always been able to get better armor just from drops, more quickly than you could raise that much coin?
I'm really surprised they put the effort into creating this armor - they had to know that at those prices, no one will ever buy it!

Yeah, just like I thought why would anyone ever buy a bridle.. the prices are obnocious when for 7K you could buy Journeymans Boots but hey it's one of those "LOOK at me I can buy this overpriced merchandise" =) Just like when people bought Plate armor offa merchants before it was craftable. Perhaps that silly armor on the moon has some sweet graphic as EQ armor has turned into a bit of a catwalk to strut your fiiiiiiiiiine looking character around in =)
