The mushrooms are now stackable past 20, haven't hit max yet they didn't used to be kinda helps with farming, just create a mule to sit there and log in and out periodically to farm them.
710p 4g 0s 3c

710p 4g 0s 3c is what it cost me for all the ingredients for 100 combines. (if my math is correct) Total does not include the Corker which was a gift from a Guildy.

92 succesful combines
8 failed combines
= 368 Kaladim Constitionals

That is less than 2 plat per drink. I think 5 plat each in the Bazaar is a fair mark up for profit.

My calculations were off. It cost me 630p 4g 0s 3c. Sorry for my lousy math skills.

Your math skills go down (-10)

Celestial Essence?

This may be a dumb question but what is the easiest/cheapest way to get the Celestial Essences needed for combines?
Celestial Essence?
# Nov 10 2007 at 4:55 PM Rating: Decent
The easiest, though perhaps not cheapest, way i know of is to combine vendor purchased scent of marr with celestial essence. If memory serves, the scent of marr cost me 31pp/stack.

I realize this answer is about 3 months late, but maybe someone else needs it.
Economics - Times have changed
# Oct 30 2006 at 7:25 AM Rating: Decent
Most that I know do not do this for the economic gain of this one recepie but to get those last 2 or 52 points of brewing (depending on when it was done last). Therefore selling is a tough proposition.

Selling these now are a bit tough because of the number of people working on it...granted supplies and demands will fluctuate, but as long as there are a half dozen or so working on GM/300 brewing, then the market will be flooded....

0.000 - Fungus (time)
0.005 - Bottle
1.699 - Celestial Essence
0.001 - Cork
x.xxx - Corking Device
4.385 - Fermented Yarrow
0.135 - Soda Water
0.000 - Mushroom

6.225p per combine, 4 yield = 1.556p per (not counting the price of the Corker)

6.225p per combine to get to 300 is relatively cheap considering the other tradeskill recipies of 250+...

as a GM brewer with my trophy, i wouldn't sell these for under 250pp a stack until i recouped the costs of my corker and maybe even my trophy. After that, i would probably sell em for around 200pp a stack.

To do 20 combines, you are going to have to camp the groundspawn in kaladim for about a half an hour (hoping that it is not already camped). To make fermented yarrow, it will cost about 27pp per combine, which if successful gets you a stack of 6. So around 110pp, if you have 4 successes. Along with around 50pp to make the soda water and celestial essences, and purchase your corks and bottles. Not to mention you have to have a corker, which on my server sell for 2k on the low end in the bazaar.

The trivial is so high, you fail about 50% of the time. Granted, you get 4 per success, so 20 combines should get you around 2 stacks of these. Comes out to about 80pp per stack, just for resources. Take into account that corker, and 200-300pp a stack doesnt seem too unreasonable.

If that seems to high for you, ya can GM brewing for under 500pp. Make em yerself.

these rock for raiding dragons. if you are frequently raiding stuff with resistable AoEs pick up a stack of these things, get 2 clear inv slots (not in bags), put this on top and fuzzlecutters below it, every once and a while force drink a fuzzle. everyone knows that robe casters have low HP to begin with, so resisting DD is VERY important, and in addition to adding to all resists (covering all the resistable DDs) it adds +5 sta which robe casters, unless they are very well equipped, will also help adding HP which casters desperately need as well. these dont cost a ton to make, they just have high triv (335 like some of hte solstice stuff?) and are a bitch to get ingredients for. expect to pay at least twice the price of qeynos tea, but know that it is well worth it. mix with holy cake and you are set for resist food, bank when youre not using of course.

cost i think about 20-30p per stack with all successes, probably doesnt cost over 100p to make a stack (about 60p maybe?), these are a good way to get that extra 2 points in brewing to hit true GM (250) for all you folks that like high numbers in your skill list, i used them to GM it and ended up with a little over 2 stacks of constitutionals, of which i am trading for golden idol of tunare now, which is a fair deal on my server. theres always a market for these.

Say, what exactly does it mean that it is "Miraculous"? Is it the buffs? or is miraculous a classification of long-lastingness (heh, so it isn't a word) like food that is banquet or what?

I agree that even at a 250 skill in Brewing, these drinks fail almost half the time. This drives up the cost for reselling for sure.

Factor in the corking device cost, the 25 minutes it takes to get a stack of the shrooms, plus the near 7pp for the fermented yarrow and celestial essence, cork, bottle and soda water - and you've got a decent investment in your drink. You do get 4 drinks per combine but since they fail 1/2 the time you really get 4 per 2 batches.

Decent resist stats and STA boost for a drink but is it worth the cost?

Trivial
# May 17 2003 at 4:53 PM Rating: Decent
The triv on this item is more like 300-350. I am a GM brewer (250) and have wisdom maxed and it failed 50% of the time or more. Constantly. It does make four on success, but be prepared for mass failures if you need a specific amount of this item.
