This item is a ground spawn. Used in 2 recipes. Recipe list - Premium only. These are ground spawns from the farm in North Kaladim if you use Brell's Map download it is marked on the map if not take the right fork of the map and you will come across the Farm. |

When you zone into North Kaladim take the first right and follow the tunnel to the farm. They are the small red dots.

Picked the Strange Dark Fungus up from the farm in North Kaladim if you use Brell's Map download it is marked on the map if not take the right fork of the map and you will come across the Farm.
You can get 9 at a time and they are stackable, along with 9 underfoot mushrooms. They Spawn every 3.5 minutes or at least to me they did, from 3 to 6 minutes it seems like.
No mobs come there except rodents.

Took another run to NK yesterday to get ingredients for some Constitutionals, farmed for over an hour and the two mushrooms were still respawning at almost exactly 5 minutes - that's total time between picking the first one, clearing each row, and then waiting till the first one respawns.
Respawn time for me was 5m10s.
Are we sure the lizardman warrior in The Feerrott drops this? He drops all sorts of fungus, but I'm not so sure about this one.
North Kaladim spawns thense on the farm in North kaladim (take the right North Kaladim zone over). Red Caps will be Strange Dark Fungus & Blue Caps are Underfoot Mushroom

As of today 05/27/2011 I found them in North Kaladim

They are in north Kaladim, its called kaladimb doing a /who and south Kaladim is called kaladima doing /who. There is 9 each of the Underfoot Mushroom and Strange Dark Fungus and seem to respawn the same amount every time. I only stayed for 2 spawns which were both 9 each.
The fungus are the red ground spawns, mushrooms are the blue ground spawns.
And yes they do spawn every 6 mins. That one guy did time them thus making him that ****!
Yes I timed them just to see and had nothing better to do for the 6 mins.
Who ever is taking care of that garden sure is keeping it nice! Not one weed was growing! But watch out for the rodents they might nibble on your toes.

With the new zone changes, they aren't in North Kaladim any more. Now the farm is in the city....Swim up the creek. Farm still in NE corner.
They seem to pop more even in number.... Strange fungus never got ahead of Underfoot mushroom by more than 1 or 2 and that is during a 200/200 collect.

Confirmed there are 9 mushrooms and 9 fungus, spawn time is every 6 minutes or so, didn't stop watch it... lol i'm not that ****.
Been foraging these for about 3 days now (plan to take it all the way to 300!) and I can confirm that the spawn ratio has been split to an even 9 of each (these and the Underfoot Mushrooms).

Both of these ground spawns re-pop every 6.25 minutes. Thats 6 minutes 15 seconds.
Head to North kaladim down the east path. There is a small farm on the North/East corner of map. They spawn on the rows in the garden.
You get 7 Fungus and 10 Mushrooms per round.
I spent hours here a long time ago to get the last 2 skill ups in brewing. Now that they have raised the cap to 300, I am back. hee hee.
but the reward is worth it. The drinks made at higher skill level sell well in bazaar.
Uses your time for the most. Kill the rats and turn in the wiskers. If you are a forager, then forage as well. If you are still young and have not maxed your forage skill, then this is the time to work on it. Trust me, It comes in very handy later on.

I'll confirm a respawn of about five minutes.
In the first two spawns I got a stack of underfoot mushrooms and 14 strange dark fungus.
I'll edit this post when I figure out if they're random or fixed spawns. If fixed, I can assume that I'll get ten underfoot next time and 7 strange dark fungus.
edit: yep, 10 and 7, repeated many times, always the same result. On the plus side, there's a rodent spawn in the mushroom patch to entertain you while you farm. gave my ranja something to shoot at, and it pops every 1-2 minutes. possibly even more frequently. And there's another rat that walks through it you can whack. They drop the wiskers about a third of the time, so I guess I'll up my faction with the exterminators of norrath lol

read above, its a ground spawn.
that means you see it on the ground, and click on it to pick it up. (not being sarcastic, just explainin' in case you don't know).

respawn on these are about 5 minutes. took me about an hour to get as many as needed for my last 2 skill ups to 250 Brewing.

Anyone have a location on this ground spawn, and is it at the same spot as the other ground spawn used in Kaladim Constitutional.
The main area for ground spawns is in North Kaladim at loc +640, -129. Yes, they spawn in the same area.
