Qeynos Afternoon Tea
# Feb 05 2009 at 7:04 PM Rating: Decent
Since various ingredients make different amounts you want to make batches of 24 to come out even. LOL, you don't have to but when I make it I forget how much some of these combines make and I end with lots of cream for instance.

you will need:

26 water
3 benzoin
6 milk
dairy spoon
24 eucalyptus leaf
24 celestial solvent
24 scent of marr
2 kings thorn
2 griffin feathers
24 tea leaves (Foraged, ugh)

you need to make
3 batches of cream (each batch yields 8)
--- 1 benzoin + 2 milk + dairy spoon

24 celestial essence
--- celestial solvent + scent of marr

2 batches of bayle's delight ( yields 12 each )
--- 1 water + 1 kings thorn + 1 griffin feather

Now you can put it all together. Each combine makes 6, yes!
Bayle's delight + celestial essence + cream + eucalyptus leaf + tea leaves + water

a stat giving drink will combine with a stat giving meal. both my wizzie and my monk have a stack each of Qeynos afternoon tea and misty thicket picknic baskets at all times.

Yes. You can have one stat food and one stat drink working at the same time. (Obviously, one or both can be non-stat.)

You cannot have two stat foods or two stat drinks at once, though. So this wouldn't stack with, say, Kaladim Constitutionals. Only one of KC or QAT can work at once.

The food is in effect as long as it is in your first food or drink slot (i.e. it is the next item you will consume). If you manually eat "normal" food and drink, the effects could last forever

How you make this stuff? Seem to always have this type of things listed but never how to make it or were to get the stuff to make it.

Making it is not just as easy as combining ingredients first of all you have to get the ingredients.

lets start with Bayles Delight
You may get lucky and find someone selling this in the bazaar but don't count on it. If not you are going to have to make it yourself.

Ingredients for Bayles Delight

Kings Thorn Gnomish vendor In SteamFont Mnts Loc 1371 -835 (she does not like humans)

Griffon Feather Hunt the griffs in East & North karanas also check the merchants and expect to pay 8-10p a feather

Water Store bought not summoned

Each combine makes 8 Bayles Delight

Now that you have bayles delight you combine it with

celestial essence i just by mine at the bazaar
tea leaves forage them in E karana
Water Store bought
Cream Not sold you have to make it

note if you are not of the race wood elf or you are not a bard druid or ranger you cant forage so you will have to get somone to forage for you.

In order to make cream you are going to need a mixing bowl and a dairy spoon you can buy a mixing bowl but are probably going to have to use your smithing skills to make a dairy spoon it is a triv at I think 77.

Oh did i forget to mention that cream is not made through brewing, nor can you buy it anywhere, No it is a baking item and it becomes triv i think at 86

you mix 1 water
1 milk
1 benzoin an alchemy ingredient Try SH loc 122 1236

And presto you have your tea

Doanchano 44 wiz karana
master baker,brewer,smith

And I only became master in all 3 so that i could make this darn tea and its companion the Misty Thicket Picnic

Sorry forgot to add Eucalyptus which you can get off of vendor Polson Medicinal In Shadow Haven

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 29 2002 at 5:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Food effects last as long as the food does. In other words, when the game decides you are hungry again, the effect of the last food item wears off and is replaced by the effect of the next food item it consumes.

An important clarification for those new to the game:

Food & drink bonuses are NOT awarded by the item actually being consumed. They are awarded by having some quantity of that item as the next thing you WILL consume if the system were to auto-feed you when it next decides it's time for you to be hungry or thirsty.

You don't ever have to actually eat/drink the item to get the bonuses. As others have posted, if you "force feed/drink" regular food and drink on a regular basis, you conceivably could have one item each of Barbecued Erudite and Qeynos Tea in your inventory, and have +8 INT forever.

# Aug 29 2002 at 11:43 AM Rating: Good
or better yet a kaladim constitutional and misty thicket picnic, +10 =)
i dont wanna bother with continually forcefeeding, but i do keep these around in the bank so i can get +10 wis when i want to do tradeskilling, then forcefeed myself some fishrolls and fuzzlecutter formula 5000.
fishrolls and fuzzlecutters are the way to go if you want to forcefeed yourself.

Unfortunately only the first one found in the first slot of any bag counts. So if bag one has no food in first slot and bag 2 does, bag 2 is the one that grants effect. Now if bag one had food as did 2, then only bag 1 would grant effects.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 28 2002 at 8:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) as long as the food lasts, this is ubah =p
So how long do the stat effects last?
# Aug 28 2002 at 7:25 PM Rating: Default
Can't seem to find that information anywhere.

Thanks!
RE: So how long do the stat effects last?

The effect lasts as long as at least one qeynos afternoon tea is your drink (that is to say, as long as it is the first drink item in your inventory, probably the most upper left slot). if you do nothing, you'll drink them away and eventually run out of them. but if you manually drink water or whatever, you'll never get thirsty and never drink your tea, and the effect will just go on and on.
