Or you could of hunted Ulthork starting at level 34 and gotten 8ac boots with some stat (forget which) and magic. Or you could of started hunting the ghost in Unrest at 32 and gotten dwarven workboots. Or you could of scrapped together 100pp and bought DWB in Bazaar (I suppose there is a server out there where DWBs go for more than 100pp, hard to immagine though). Maybe get some Wu's for monks? Point is, there are so many ways to get boots that are equivelent or equal to these it isn't funny. Then again, if these are anything like the stuff that drops in the gnoll caves, it's just a diffrent form of vendor loot than getting gems (the armor that drops from Gnolls sells from 40-80pp each. My guess is that VI just got tired of having every good vendor loot be a gem.)
