IF you only kill Orcs, after a moment, only the 6-8 orcs at North will pop. I suspect Mammoth and Leopard are on same pop list. So for farm this item, kill Orcs, Mammoths and Leopards.

Ok. ran around with a tracker and couldnt realy find any orc's up 2 or 3 spawns when most was up, got pretty tired of it and of boredom started killing randoms stuff.
For the half hour i killed random i found that when killing mammoth's it tends top pop an orc or so every second kill, spawned realy many orc's and it looks like shamans drop's Cyclamine Corm.

I have been trying to get double the amount needed to make all of the poisons for my Rogue's Freshman Toxological Test quest in case I fail a combine. There is no way that I'll do that for this material...
I have a 57 bard tracking these suckas for 3 hours and only got 2...
I did have the best luck with the Orc Shamans. They should absolutely be added to the list. Sending a correction update to the web admin.

Roughly, the center of the SE quadrant. go to loc neg 250, neg 580
You'll be on a hill that runs North south. Stay within 50 yards or so of that spot and kill everything you see. (I just parked a Druid there with a merc and cast flame lick on everything I didn't have to run far to reach)
Respawns are fast and several spawn points are within a stones throw of that loc, you will literally see then spawn, cast sow, and then start bookin. o be ready to tag your shammies and mountaineers. Spent about an hour this way and got 6 corms.

While I was typing this, two more wandered by, jumped me, got bonked by merc, and dropped two more

20 minutes later and I get my second drop :) Guess sometimes you just need to complain a bit :p

Had to wait for 2nd round to get my 2nd one as well. Poison trophy is such a PITA compared to all the other profession trophies.. No idea why.

Well, I've been farming this for over 4 hours hours on the new server for my rogue for toxicology. I've killed 10 mountaineers and 5 shaman. 1 corm so far. Rare is a good <insert bad word here> word for it. Pretty frustrating. Reminds me of the old days when I would sit in Skyfire Mountains for days, waiting on the shards for my cleric 1.0. /sigh.

I think they need to increase the drop rates on these or atleast have a few more spawns. I am all for a semi-rare drop on a lower level tradeskill item but these fall into the category of impossibly rare AUUUUGGGH!!!!

I found that killing the shaman yielded the fastest results. I found the shaman to be located more towards the east/southeast part of everfrost peaks, near that big statue south of Redwind. I started killing anything that moved and they started spawning pretty regular.
These are NOT Common. I can't count how many Mountaineers and Shaman I have killed and only 2 Corms

Killed almost 100 mountaineers and no corn. Killed two shamans and got a corn on each. Orcish Shamans need to be added to the drops list.

Besides the Orcish Mountaineer, I have seen this drop from Snow Orc Shaman in Everfrost Peaks.

This is used to make Cyclan Butil. A poison for rogue use only. Takes 2 cyclamine corms and 1 snake venom sac.
