I got one with my DE/SK level 10 in Nektulos Forest outside Neriak...if that helps any. And it was on a regular Basilisk.

I got them in Jagged Pines in the Basilisk Caves.

I got one in Lavastorm, none in Butcherblock but plenty in Jagged Pine and in JP they were easy to find.
