Compaired to the rest of the idols, I'm starting to think that Karana got the shaft. The good: any worshiper of Karana should be able to get a benifit from all the stats (unless your a warrior. Why would a warrior worship Karana?). The bad: Other idols either offer higher AC, or Stats, or saves. Later in the game, you realy want the saves, or higher stats to make room in other slots for gear with saves. It's a good peice of gear, but not sure it's up to snuff with the rest of the idols. Maybe if it gave a bonus save against fire/cold (say +3? +2?). Ah well.
Well keep in mind that the other idols require more expensive imbued gems than this, plains pebbles can be foraged for free. Granted, when you add in the cost of all the other ingredients, the difference isn't that significant, but that's probably the logic here. Notice the stats tend to improve the more expensive the imbued gem is. Compare this, to say, a golden idol of Mithaniel Marr, which uses an imbued diamond.
Edit: However, think of it this way, these stats would be nice for druids and rangers, really. Or clerics and pallys. And those 4 classes make up the majority of Karana worshippers right there, hehe. Think about who would likely be worshipping Karana, and this stats don't look so bad after all.
