It's used to make mature cheese, which is a component of a very popular "stat food," the Misty Thicket Picnic.

I know why I can't get any Gallantry! It's just because I'm a Dark Elf, isn't it? Yeah, I see how you all are! "No buffs for the Inkies," right? "Dark Elves are all evil!" "Dark Elves smell funny!" Well, we do not smell funny! I've smelled Dark Elves all my life and it's nothing to laugh at!

Someone practicing their smithing tradeskill used these to level up and sold several of them to the merchant.

This thing is not sold by vendors, at least not regularly. It seems to be a popular item to skill up smithing with, so often vendors by forges will have some for sale that players sold to them. If a vendor has one, it sells for about 2gp. It's not part of any merchant's PERMANENT inventory though, so if you don't feel like "vendor-mining," either just smith one or get it smithed by another player.

Not only does this...ahem...PERSON...spam Allakhazam, he doesn't even bother to identify what server he's on even if you DID want to buy from him.

I am seeing more mass posts like this all the time, not a good sign.
