I am currently using this to kill with my level 16 Druid. It is nice, hits hard, but sadly as a Druid I do not have the attack rating to be able to melee...but it does well when I hit.

I hunted here with my monk when one dropped and we where going to roll for it the 2 warriors and me and the 2 casters started complaining saying that they would like to roll for it. The 2 warriors and me where not twinked and didnt have as nice as weapon. We said need over greed and they left the group i won the roll and have loved having it in my offhand with a fighing baton i got fighting in here also.
got 1 fast

being the monk haven. I hunted there a while in my low 30's. I'v probablly spent 10 hours in 1st floor groups getting 1 sap off a gnome, 2 tulwar blades both off teirdall chicks, and 1 tower gaurd blade off a iksar. I've done 2nd and 3rd floor grops, but you need a a clerc and a meezer to even think about that.

Hunted in Dalnir last night for 6 hours at the entrance and I've fallen in love with the
zone. Good xp and even better loot. In my time there the sap dropped 1x (off a
coerced Gnome), the Tower Guard's blade dropped 2x (can't remember off who), the
charred tulware 1x (off a DE), and the Brass Goblin Falmberge 1x (off a goblin). I'm
a 32 warrior and plan of hunting here for the next couple lvls (32 now). I advise
against going down to the 2nd lvl unless you feel you're with a very competent group.
I hunted in the pool room and xp would be great for a while but 1 bad pull would erase
all the work you put in. Happy hunting. BTW... That price has got to be wrong cause
I can't imagine anyone spending 600 plat for the sap. Good weapon but definitely not
worth that price
THIS THING RULES

I was using Rukgus's sticker (shammy) and was hunting Mammoth in Everfrost in my 29season today.

I usually dont tank because being non-twinked and my weapon... well sucked.

Then a 45cleric came by asking auctioning for enduring breath. I rushed there, casted it on him, and refused to take money.

Then as usual I asked if he has any junk in the bank for sale cheap (My bad habit I admit, but got quite decent stuff buying unused junk from high lvl char). He inspected me, rushed to the bank, give me the sap of piety! I asked him how much, but he refused to take money.

Now I owned all the woolly mammoth in Everfrost :)

This is one of the objects that can drop off any coerced gnome on the first and second floors. Generally the gnome is a caster, often a cleric, and you will always see the stick in their hand if they have it. It is a rare drop, though -- you can kill dozens of gnomes and never see one. It looks like a club; if they've got a hammer or a mace, they're just carrying fine steel.

I've never personally seen one on the second floor; if you're coming for this item, set up shop in the temple and have somebody pull using invis to scope around the first level so they can try to find the gnome in question. Otherwise, kill anything that moves until you get lucky.

They sell very quickly, considering they are light, have great damage and damage/delay, and are usable by so many classes.

Excellent Offhand Monk!

I use this with my monk in his offhand for now. The delay is near or shorter then the time my offhand gets ready (if i got all the math right). I tried a fighting baton offhand but swithced back. As primary weapon for monks it no good since its slower then you prim hand and you will thus hit less often. (albeit with more damage then without weapons)
All in all I think its an awesome thing in the low price range untill you got lots of Kpp to throw about.

This weapon is great for a mid 20's shamy. Does good damage relativly fast for a one hand blunt weapon. Wish i would have had this about 10 lvls ago lol.

Shaman's use & Dalnir in general
# Mar 13 2001 at 3:33 PM Rating: Decent
Hey, I'm a 40th level shaman and I still use this when fighting. If I'm in a group I have a spirit tome for the wis, but this is an easy weapon to acquire before 30 without buying.

Dalnir is an incredible zone for EP and Loot! I still hunt there at times, but went from around 29 to about 36 there almost exclusivly.

If anyone is wondering, it drops off the Gnome casters (they are all Mages as I remember).
are u serious?

are u serious? u spent 29 to 36 in dalnir? wow I am on Terris Thule and not only is dalnir always emtpy, but when i got together a group of lower 30's we had a rough time and ended up dying on the 2nd floor. i was just wondering if on other servers dalnir is a popular hunting place.

This is a great zone, we hunted here from about level 27 to 31 or so. As you say, it's always empty and the loot can be fantastic - we picked up a sap of piety, a couple bo sticks, fighting batons, charred tulwars, a tower guards blade, other stuff camping the first, and then second floors. The trick is to be smart about it. Like any dungeon zone, you've got a fairly large number of mobs in a fairly small space, and crowd control is key - especially since many of the mobs in Dalnir are casters. Our favorite spot was on the second floor, where we camped the Imprecator room (the "manacle room" as it's sometimes called). There are 3 static spawns in this room, one of them sometimes the Kly Imprecator, and 1 wanderer spawns here also. You move in invis to the alcove near the room, then go in for a quick break - I'm an enchanter, so we used quick single mezzes combined with AE stuns, we've also used bard charm to break this room. Once broken, you time the spawn cycle (20 minutes I think) and can cover as many pulls from the halls and even over to the bedrooms as you can - we had a well-practiced full group and were covering a dozen spawns or more once we got going. The result was great loot and more than a bubble of xp an hour. One of the best zones in the game, IMO!
