They've upgraded all the newbie quests since revamping the tutorial to go up to lvl 10.
This weapon is now 1HB with 5 to STA and INT, 10 to HP and 20 to mana.
To get it just follow the important research line and you will recieve(after finishing the quest she gives you in the warrens) a rough staff, give it back to her with a petrified eye (Drops off faded specter) and a giant briar snake skin.
It's been little over a month and they STILL haven't updated this?

I skipped getting the clothes and went straight for the staff but i got this rough abattoir initiate staff instead with no stats and just says lore item. Does anyone know what i need to do?
I have no idea how I received this staff. The last time I spoke to this NPC, I got the final pieces of the Abattoir armor quests. I started to look thru my inventory and voila! there was the staff.
It looks like a normal wood staff, nothing special. The +2int/+1sta is nice tho.
