If a mob resists snare it can be snared, if you get a message saying that it is immune to changes in speed it can't be snared.

Not true.
A low level player will sometimes get the "Immune to changes" message at times on mobs that certainly CAN be snared. I have noticed this on the gnolls in Qeynos Hills using a level 4 druid and the spell Tangling Weeds.
My 53 druid can kill them with Enveloping Roots as well as snare them regularly.
Also, my ranger used to get that message for some sonic wolves in Tenebrous Mountains, but now at level 59 they are NEVER resisted.

Kited as a 51 bard. Easy kill. Dropped idol and 2 nodrop quest items. She swims near entrance to potty cave. She never dispelled since she was always chasing me at full speed. The name is not maegrin, but Myraephe.

The mob you killed A) had a different name, and B) had a different drop. Why would you assume they are the same, and someone else had just put the wrong name in?

Tried to take her down tonight a lvl 55 druid was a lil unprepaired she is imune to snare and root and she Dispells too was kiteing her haveing fun when she first took my KEI then my SoE beat me up pretty bad tried to recast SoE was interupted every time so gated out and made it with just under 1 bub of life, Will be prepared next time :-) she about half dead when i gated i hit her with Winged Death twice and Breath of ro once shame i lost SoE when i did

this mob can not be snared by lvl 60 wizard either .
as for getting one of these at low lvls you will need a full group of lvl 40 . gets much easyer at higher lvls but still a pian without rooting or snareing

I found Maegryn(?) the Pure just outside the Potemeid Caves. She was swimming around the lake.
Resisted snare multiple times even tho lt blue to me - so prob immune. I recall that she cast on me but not 100% sure. She hits hard for her level and I think she is significant undercon for non-tanking types. I used a timber griffon pet and Wing death/nukes to kill her
She dropped 3 items all no drop so this may be a rare drop - would have thought it turned up on test server if it was common.
I will be wearing this for a while - the resists are up there with Blue Diamond gear and the AC and Wisdom are a major advantage

Where is this Pure guy? I could use these ina couple levels. I am using the Chipped Bone Bracers at the moment. Mostly for the focus effect, but in 2 levels, I'll be 49 and they will be no use to me anymore, so I would like to replace them with No Drop, and I won't lose Wis with these. So they seem ideal.
