I got this to drop today but before I killed it it despelled me of my KEI which was 3rd buff not first. Ny advice kill it as fast as you can before it despells.

I did too for 78, I think it is because of lore that this would have been sold to a merchant. As luck would have it, 10 minutes later one dropped for me.

the gnoll caves are fun with a nice well rounded group you can work your way through on a steady pace gaining some nice exp. and not having to worry about a zillion adds. i have also found much less lag in the tunnels then in the rest of the zone. i was able to get myself one of them gnoll rings the 5int is nice with 5 saves to 2 other categories. the gnolls were dark blue to my 53 necro and exp was ok for a 53. its been a while since i hunted gnolls boy did i miss it good hunting nivius of saryn tribunal of norrath

just a quick note on the darkpaw defiliers: they do see through invis; just a caution if you're hunting them.
