this stuff is pretty rare. I killed 30-40 yetis in dreadlands and saw nothing. A full clear of wyverns in cobalt scar for nothing. Ice giants in everfrost and perma eventually gave them up. Maybe 20 giants for 2
Just a quick FYI - this also drops in Cobalt Scar off wyverns and/or drakes. I have gotten several out there also.

I found that these drop a lot of times, in The Dreadlands while I was hunting the Yeti's in the Northern corner. I had about 60 or so after about 4-5 lvls that I was there.
this also drops in castle mistmoore. unfortunately i dont recall what mob drops it :( come here with a friend or 2 at about lvl 50 and u can slaughter the place and get quite a few of em in no time

I think you are referring to the "Essence of Moonlight" which drops off of multiple mobs in MM that spawn during the night.
Which of course makes sense, then winter off of arctic mobs and of course we all know that sunlight drops off of Sand Giants which spawn in the ? you guessed it! the sun scorched desert lol

Essence of winter drops off of ice giants (Permafrost and Everfrost) and tundra yeti (Dreadlands)
Brandy, ice goblin blood, 2 essence of winter combined by a brewer (trivial 135) will give you a frost temper.
Frost Tember is used in Barbarian Cultural Armor.

Yep, ice giants in EF, I got 2 tonight off of them. I don't know why they aren't on the list of mobs. They've been dropping there for as long as I can remember.

You can check on eqtraders.com and find that this is for smithing, namely making frost temper to create Northman Imbued Ringmail Armor, a shammy only type armor made in the Northman Forge in Halas.

What quest is this for? I have this dumb thing sitting in my inventory, anyone have any ideas?
