? I have tried and he just hands it back to me. Another user said I should be able too. This is the one that drops for Lord Inquisitor Seru. Thanks!

Two of the top 3 posts (presently) under the item itself:

I'm sure this isn't a common problem, but I can't seem to sell my Seru horse. I play on the Al'Kabor server, so you can still use old models and have a mount as just a buff. I prefer that method, and I therefore want the most basic horse. Wendal Amondson tells me he has no need for the item, and hands it back. Any clue why this might be?

So unless this was changed, the logic would appear to be: dropped mounts no sellback (as you didn't pay for them). As a player when this feature was new, it was seen as a recoup of the plat sink of buying a starter mount and saving to move up.

The only bridle sellback merchant is now Galic Amondson in the bazaar stables. There are no "brothers" to sell different colors to. I sold my black bridle to Galic today and received around 49500pp for it.

Hail and give bridle to merchant Galic to receive the plat.

the bags of platinum Do not come from the stable hands, they come from the Amondson brothers in the back of the stables.

Was givin this tonight as part of a GM event in POK. A GM was in the zone shouting out lore trivia. The frist shouted answer was givin a reward. I recieved this. I was told that some people also got 3AA but since they char i had was not 51, that I guess that was not an option. Probably one of the best GM events I've seen as it rewards those who have more than a grind and gear attitude and are interested in the history of the world we inhabit. BTW, The question I answered was "These were the first creatures created by prexus..." there was more but reading that i shouted out Kedge and beat the next person by half a heart beat. :) Haven't sold yet, but I've been told it has a 6k value
Heavy Bag
# Nov 21 2003 at 12:17 AM Rating: Decent
I've also seen "a heavy bag of platinum" in the bazaar. It possibly has the same function. Vendor was selling it for about 221,000 pp.

Bags differ in sizes depending on which bridle you are handing in, but they are for the same thing.

Does it work the same for drogmors? Maybe in Guthak?

Bazaar not Shadowhaven
# Oct 30 2003 at 8:46 AM Rating: Excellent
This is done in the Bazaar not in Shadowhaven. The npc's name is Wendel Amondson loc -530,+230.
I turned in my old slow horse to him for a bag of platinum which I then sold for about 65% of what I paid for the horse. Hope this helps.
Wheww ..glad you all posted what it's for

Wow !! I saw this for sale in Rivervale for 88209pp ROFL !! I thought to my self WOW ! this must be for like the Ultimate Epic Quest I think I'll go look it up. Thought maybe it would be constructed into a suit of Platinum Enchanted armor AC 900, +50 all stats, Permanent Haste, Regen, and KEI. Maybe like +25% on tradeskills when wearing. +100 on all saves. wt. 0.1 / all/all.... then I woke up to YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED.....
Approx. 20% loss on resale.
# Mar 08 2003 at 4:20 PM Rating: Decent
The bag of platinum from a Black Rope Bridle hand-in sold for 6476p with 260 cha and amiable faction. A loss of about 20% on the original purchase. At a guess the formula would be the same for the more expensive horses.

This is what you are given when you resell your horse bridle. You then have to sell this back to a regular merchant. I believe the value of it depends on the type of horse you sell, and your current faction/charisma with the merchant.

well...if you should find yourself wanting to have a faster horse, or even purchase a drogmor in its place, you do the "quest" for the bag of platinum pieces, have a little out of pocket expense, and voila! a faster horse or a spiffy new drogmor. for my cleric, the riding beast or mount is essential for those outdoor zones. i med and cast all at the same time and never have to worry about my meditations being interrupted by some pesky mob who wants to take advantage of me sitting down...technically i am not sitting...therefore i am able to cast and regen mana as if i were sitting. very helpful!
