Just got this the other day.. Greatest thing didn't have to spend any DKP on it only 3 shammy other 2 had better upgrade for me..
graphic looks way cool.. Effect has a really big green color effect.. deffinatly a trophy item.. It will be sitting next to my Barbarian's Spiritits Hammer... 8)

Well speaking as a shamam in a guild that can drop this mob, Its a damn nice range slot item. Its also good to swap out when rapid bear is up to do some decent damage.
But I have the hand of the reaper in range slot and I wont be upgrading to this item. I am saving my DKP for 100hp+ range slot item from VT; Umbracite Swarm Orb.
But its a close call between this and the orb though.

Umm, How can you be a shaman and have Hand of the Reaper in your range slot? It's a Necro-only secondary item. Am I missing some other item with this name?

I wouldnt get your hopes up on this sucker. I am in a VT guild we killed him 7 times thats only that I was there a ton more that I wasnt there he droped 1. These are uber rare and I personally would only take this if I was only shammy and it was a trophy since its so rare
Yes when I solo as a lvl 56 shaman, I often stack EB with BN it works well with hard hitting mob that need to be taken down fast.

Does the Effect on This one stack with the DOT on epic shaman ? this will be godly with no use of mana ...

WTF are you talking about? I stack Plague (disease based), Bane of Nife (Poison Based) and E Bolt (Poison Based) all the time, as a matter of fact I did it earlier today. Getcha facts straight mistuh
the effect on the spear of fate is magic based, not disease based.
as far as disease and poison, they all stack. many 56+ shamans that solo use both poisons; bane of nife and envenomed bolt stacked together.

Remember shamans can stack their own dots; all disease and poison. They do have to be from the same shaman, and without others casting dots.

wrong again. Other shamans can stack the same dots on the same mob. I like to stack breath of ultor when grouping with another shaman on big mobs. 131 x2 per tick = 262 per tick for 26 ticks for 6812 damage. Ouch.

It stacks with the Shaman Epic click effect.
Good thing this puppy is ungodly hard to get.
Epic is still better... it's 1-handed, it's got a better DoT, it's got better saves.

For the person saying epic is betetr casue its one handed look at teh slots used. Stick this puppy into ranged and click away Its 1 handed if its ranged ;) not to mention stats are decnt with the added benefit. Stack on extend affliction 3 and you have a hell of a long *** DoT being cast mana free. 800 damage form this 1200 from epic. plus normal DoT.s
Also Diese Dot's have always stacked with each other.. I have over written posion DoT's though. Guess posion is posion buch each illness is unique.
Plus nice ratio with the damage.. can do some nice melee damage with haste. or rabid bear. only wish they would lower reuse time to rabid bear.. I would be happy with 45 mins instead of 2+ hours.

The Shaman Epic, the Spear of Fate, is clickable. As far as I know, all of the epics are clickable, but I'm not 100% sure. I DO know that when they first implemented the Spear of Fate (shammy epic), it WAS a proc, and therefor kinda not-so-good (but still purty darn tootin').
As far as usefulness, as a 56th level shammy (and since 55th when I got the hammer), if I'm going to be in melee and don't need resists (which happens fairly often, soloing in the Hole, etc), I pull with my epic out, sic' Dogdog on 'em, slow, then epic (add Ebolt to taste) and switch to my Tae Ew Hammer of Aggression (17/20 2hb 10 str 10 wis). Yeah, my 2hb isn't as good as my piercing (yet), but with Celerity (50% haste) and Rage (big ole' stat buffa, including DEX), my 2hb is going up nicely. AND I can dish out some hurtin' in melee.
I can't wait to get Form of the Rabid Bear and maybe a haste item (?) if I can manage one ... probably the belt drop from Kael since I don't need much else from there ...
Anywho, that's my $7.38 (I tend to ramble), maybe good advice for you shammies or just interesting for the rest of you. Bash gud an' make da Warlord proud!

Casters epics are clickable. Melees epics are procs (warrior, ranger earthcaller, rogue, paladin, shadowkight, bard) or worn haste (rogue, ranger swiftwind). Exception is monks who have a clickable haste.

The Paladin Epic is a proc
ranger epic is proc (well from earthcaller) sk epic is proc ,warrior epic is proc)
they all wish it was clicky though .P
