Either go here with a full group that is well balanced, or get a high level Druid friend to use his elder spiritualist vambraces and root dot the whole place. ESV have a right click Drones of Doom effect. Friend asked me to help him get the legs. Sad part is, he's a 25 Pally and couldn't do this without a full group. Only sad because not many people go here on our server. Hard to get a group to go here.
I rooted everything around him and snared him to pull him out. Made the Pally solo him while I doted the camp. He wanted the legs, so he had to do the kill. Healed him once before he killed Gongo. Legs dropped first time.

Dude...Hate to bust everyone's bubble, but there is no easy way to solo this MoB or any MoB on this isle unless the whole isle (Minus the big names) is green. If all the kitties are green, they don't add, just heal. When all the rest of the isle is green pull Gongo To Zone.
Lord Gongo was LBlue to me when I got mine. (LvL 30 I think.)
The only things that will add are the tigers in the separated isle in the lake. They hit HARD. But, I am determined to get that Cat o' Nine Tails.

That's certainly not true any longer: even at 40 a number of the kitties would aggro me, particularly the named ones. Don't know why, when my pet was (just) able to solo the entire Throne Room area when they aggroed on me.

Ok tell me where I went wrong... or a better way go about this....
1. I harmonied the gorilla protectors.
2. I snared the gorilla shaman (place holder I'm guessing)
3. Procceded to pull him away from the protectors. (planing on killing him away from any interfearance)
The next thing I know a big tiger from a building close by comes out and starts whaleing on me. Then they started pouring it on me... whack, whack, whack, spell, spell, spell... Kittens start comeing out of the wood work... well I turned around right before I zoned (with 1 bulb of health left), just to see what was following... it seemed as if the whole zone was after me....
Any suggestions on how to take this guy solo without incuring the wrath of all those kitties would be greatly welcomed.

pull him away from his healers he used up all my level 40 cleric's mana running to zone

Yea most likely, i'd make sure to have LoH up the first attempt, just to be sure.

I'd guess the spawn is on a 15 minute timer or so. Lots of placeholders though. I killed 7-8 placeholders to get him to spawn once. He dropped the mask.
Yeah, the spawn time seems to be around 15mins. I guess I was lucky, the first ph was a shaman? but the next 2 were Lord Gongo, he dropped a mask the first time, but the legs the second.
TIP: Don't try & fight Lord Gongo or the ph where he spawns, I tried this, and wasted a lot of mana doing it. He has 2 healers in front of him. Take him somewhere else if you can or kill his friends first.

well..has anyone found this.....I have spent alot of time running back and forth making sure all the gorillas,even the shaman, is killed. dunno whatelse to do

Lord Gongo drops it. he spawns where the gorilla shaman is at the little hut at shaman area of island. It is a fairly uncommon drop off him as well. Killed gongo 3 times... he dropped this 3rd time. Kill the shaman as he is PH. Just gongo, you don't got to be a killing every gorilla in sight
