for a level 35+ quest and being a sinlge class useable, no drop, and DO NOT have a single good stats for that class, this item simply - SUCKS BIG TIME even back in the days of pre-Kunark

Everyone can use sta and HP. Its a horrible item none the less, but i wouldnt say it has stats the class doesnt use.

This item was originally designed for a Chanter/Monk but They screwed up on yet another item - that is Why it is Called Tishan's :) Tishan is a major player in the Chanter field .. Hence the Tashan line of spells :)

What level are you, lzadrozny? I wonder if it's just that you haven't heard about the Tishan's line because you haven't spent much time playing (rather than simply levelling up like mad as some people seem to enjoy).

Please tell me you're kidding. My friend plays a chanter as her main, but even she's heard of Tishan's Clash. O_o She's so smart.

notice the spelling;
tIshan
tAshan

tIshans clash is a wizard spell used to do minor dmg and stun mobs

tAshan is chanter MR debuff spell highly unresistable based on disease resist.

You are mistaken.

Tishan is a major player in the Wizard line of spells and has nothing to do whatsoever with the Tashan line of spells.

Tishan's Clash - lv 20 stun/dd
Tishan's Relocation - lv 39 evac to skyfire mtns
Tishan's Discord - lv 51 stun/dd

Any spellcaster that ignores building his fighting skills is hurtung himself. You never know when you may need it. At 24 I have begun trying to max out my melle skills, such as piercing , 1hb, defense, offense and dodge. This makes me so much harder to hit, and there for, I take less damage and live longer. Also, less hits mean less interruptions form being hit.

So this item can give you an advantage in battle if you battle skills are good to excellent. Don't ignore the physical world over the mystical world.

Why waste magic on something you can do jsut as easy with your hands?

Just to play Devil's Advocate... After 29 you should have no need for melee skill anyway. But yes, I had mine maxxed out at 24. Melee is for warriors... Why use a skill so BELOW us wizards, who are strong of will and mind ( not to mention weak of muscles ). I chose to ignore the physical world. And most wizards above the 29 circle do too. So at a level where this item is attainable, it kinda stinks. WTG verant, designing an item for a class that stinks for that class. This is much like the *cough* HIGHLY COVETED Totemic gloves *cough* ( like shamen need int ). well anywho, /rant off

Well, at some point, yes, Melee will be useless to me. I know I just won't have much chance of hitting a mob. But at 34, it still does good to get in there and stab or bash away. If you can get your hands on a good weapon or two. Staff of Withering has a proc for around 48 damage, Shaded dagger is fast and deadly. Gold plated Koshatagana (I know that must be spelled wrong) has a proc of dismiss summoned (158 damage) and is fast.

The idea isn't so much to out melee the Fighters, but to add some extra damage. 5 hits at 20 dmage is 100 points. If your weapon procs, that's extra. Also, if the fighters are being over mobbed, then a weapon is a good way to pull one away from the main fighting and root it. I've done that many times.

The worst thing anyone can here when a fight is not even half way over is "OOM". I've seen so many casters of all types over cast in every fight. If it's because you are bored or want to seem like you are helping the whole time, your only hurting yourself. Melee is the way to go, for me.

Wouldn't it be better to target un undamaged mob and nuke the crap out of it, preferably with added Stun effect? Nothing pulls a mob faster then a heavy nuke with 0.0 stun.....

After all, if those mobs have special behavior, like hitting the weakest player.... wiz kebab

One thing I have noticed here is that as you get hit more, your defense goes up.. as your defense goes up, your AC goes up.. as your ac goes up, you get hit less/for less... When yo uget hit less, you have less interruptions.. so a Wizzy meleeing at ANY level is not necessarily a bad thing.

Stamina is good for any class, since we should all know by now that Sta=HP.

Well - Considering it's NO DROP, You can't twink someone with it. Unless your an idiot and do the quest with some lower level with an assload of higher levels to help. Which again would make you an idiot.

Well for a wizard stamina is worth what... hp per every 3 points? useless. Str however is of great use to a wizard it's hard to kite while encumbered however there are many items with higher str than this that also have int: a golden bracer 7str/int froglok bonecasters robe 8 str/int 45 mana and some saves, 8 str/int necklace
etc etc even with my 2 neg8 str rings i have enough str to carry all my gear and then some this item is crap.

And wizards would want this item why?
Sounds like it belongs to someone who is planning on doing some melee. That is no wizard I've ever heard of. Especially at that level.

Wizards have no STR carry to their armor, let alone loot to make some money to buy armor. They also throw giant flaming balls of death at MOBs. And if I were a MOB I would take out the guy in the skirt blowing me up. That's where the extra STA and HP comes in.

Somone has never played a wizard! the stats on this thing has absolutley nothing to say for a wizard. Nada! Maybe if they doubled them i might consider it..but there are lots of leggings with int and mana that i would chose before this! And why is it that everbody thinks that a mob will try to kill the wizard after a IC or something? A good wizard is prolly the best aggro manager in the game! And if the person who plays knows what he is doing he should be able to throw Ic in the head of the mobs all day long wihtout getting beaten on once! In fact, at lvl 55 the times i get aggro is when i snare and sit down to fast. Never from nukes!

I can't see druids wanting it for that matter either. Gatorscale leggings are better and fairly easy to get.

Yes, wizards want this item. At least me. And I usually don't melee.

Why I want it? Because I prefer the low weight with exactly that stats I am really low at, i.e. my base strength is 55 and my stamina isn't much better.

OK, lets compare to the Black Chitin Leggins I was wearing before:
ac7 mana10 hp10 wt7.5

See the weight? Make your decision yourself, I sold the leggins.

Delphia:

If you were wearing Black Chitin Leggings at 43rd level then you have no clue what you're doing. Therefore any advice you give on equipment can be dismissed out-of-hand.

This item is useless to wizards and a complete waste of time. Hand woven leggings or Whitescale Leggings make a LOT more sense.

We just finished off Martar and took his kilt for part of this quest. Since this Tishan's kilt looks exactly like Martar's kilt in the slot, I am guessing that it looks the same on your character...when I equip the kilt on my shaman, it looks like her tartan plaid skivies (like she's not wearing any leggings at all). Same with my cleric, Martar's kilt looks like no leggings are being worn. I am guessing that if you do this quest, the Tishan's kilt also looks like your bare legs, but this is only a guess.
