At around 10pp a bar of gold vs 100pp a bar for bar of platinum, the gold is a better value, and this stuff is made for bard twinks. I mean come on, bards are the only class that charisma is REALLY important, in enchanters its importatnt, but the bard relies on it to not miss notes, which are the equivalent of their spells.
Dex is used to see if bards miss a note or not. Cha is used to see whether charms get resisted or not. I believe that also applies to mezzes and lulls but not sure. A set of this would be nice for charm kiting though.
Anyone here ever heard of Roleplayin? This stuff is awesome. I use the gold version of this for special occasions, or to get noticed in the bazaar, or just to "woo" people. If a cloth shirt had a neat graphic to it i would were that around if it were nice=) Happy smithin=)

Well, stats look like brigandine mail form Paludal with Cha. This is Charisma gear for a 20th lvl? Can you even make this at that point?
Seems like most player-crafted armor is pretty cheesy, except for the fancy new imbued stuff, which is harder than hell to make anyways.

Well, I cannot see *1* correct point in your comments. 1) AC is 2-4 better per piece than Brigantine. 2) Armour is *considerably* lighter. 3) Armour trivials out at lvl 32-34. This is quite useful armor for non-plate wearing guys without tons of strength - and if you are a non-twink (yes, non-twinks exist, Dorothy :) ), this is actually *useful* at the level that you can create it; if nothing else, to fill in spots. *Gratz* to Verant for modifying Smithing skills to make them useful for something other than selling or twinking your n00b :)

havent actually priced this stuff but cha is 47 total for a full set price prob somewhere round 3k for combines estimated gonna go shop around for prices on materials.
Useful I think mainly as a skilling up device (could be wrong, not a smithing expert) If you've got it then could be of use when buying and selling supplies/goods to maximise savings/profit.
Yer right... it is worthless. But, if a bar of platinum wasn't so damn expensive, then this would actually be good, because is better than banded. But, because of the ****** expensiveness of a bar of platinum, this isn't even worth making for skill.
At a cost of approx 200pp to make, I dont believe there is alot of value to this. My smith made some, they look cool, but stats vs. value makes this a hard sell.
