It's not the illusion buff that gives the faction modifier, although the illusion may possibly have its own separate racial faction modifier that some illusions naturally provide towards some NPCs. |

Which sarnaks is this supposed to have a faction mod for? Sarnaks in Lake of Ill Omen remain scowling to my agnostic mage with this illusion on.

It's possible there will be a new faction of Sarnaks with the Empires of Kunark expansion (to which this item is a prequel part of). If I had to guess, based on released names of the upcoming zones Kor-Sha might be something...
The other factor is how much of a faction mod is on the item? Each /con range of faction (indifferent, amiable, etc.) can be a different numeric value... so this item may in fact really boost your faction with LoIO sarnak... but not enough to take you out of scowling.

Thanks, added to the quest. The scroll is still missing in Zam's item base though and couldn't be added to the quest rewards yet. It's called Spell: Illusion: Queen Velazul Di`zok.
